heheh I've heard a few in my time but...keeping with the title put your own car away into the garage and it's not rocket science to judge the end of the car a few inches forward to the line where the garage door will shut.

I had intentionally backed it out because I was working on downpipes at the time and needed the room up front lol

My father-in-law used to tie a tennis ball on a string from the ceiling in the garage and when the front window of the car hit the tennis ball it was time to stop.

I have shelves in my garage and when my side mirror lines up with the beginning of the first shelf, I stop.
