Who said that nice guys are insecure? Some of the toughest, most confident people I've ever met are also some of the nicest people I've ever met. I myself am a nice guy, and have never really had any problems meeting women either, and I'm certainly not insecure. I'm a prime example why your generalizations are way too broad.

What really makes a person seem insecure is when a person tries to act like the confident, alpha-male, bad boy when they really aren't. It might work for those people for whom that behavior is natural, but not for everyone else. Most of the people who I see try to play that role just come off as obnoxious. There are all different types of women, and they are attracted to all different types of men. To overgeneralize and pigeon-hole women as you have misses the mark.

There's a difference between being a nice guy and a pushover. Nice guys don't finish last, pushovers do. All these rules people come up with are just nonsense. When you're not being yourself, people will know. The real problem is people spend way too much time worrying about how to act around women, when if they let their worries go they'd find themselves much more "lucky". The biggest thing that stands between a guy and a potentially good evening (or relationship) is usually his attitude and his mouth.

I guess my point is you really don't have to act like a dick to get laid.
