3000GT is a dream car of mine, will never own one I’m sure.

Newer ones have been described to me as the cheap way to get a Ferrari engine, or half of one. But that sounds like all the maintenance expense and none of the fun or prestige. I really want to like the new ones, but just can’t get there. Too many other, better choices for the use case and price point.

Yeah look I cross shopped 13 yr old 911 with mildly used Mustangs, E92 M3's and Gran Turismo's so I am open to a wide cross shop menu. The Lexus just feels..... i dunno... it's a bit emotionless.

I’m with you and do the same. Agree except for their V8 definitely helps.

Does lexus make a V8 cab that's not the stupid expensive one? If I ever ditch the 997 i'll get it down to one compromise car but must be NA and must be a cab.

This seems to be the consensus, kinda like Aston Martin and Jaguar: generally nice-looking products but the 'value' (yes, yes, we're talking about luxury cars, but still, it's not worth it vs its stiff competitors) just isn't there and neither is the cachet.

i feel like the newer aston dbs is up to par in performance, has an incredible v12 and ticks all the boxes BUT it costs as much as a Ferrari, Lambo and way more than a Mclaren

for Jag... u have the svr coupes that seem ok... especially the ones w awd which can be had for decent value but the u still get the shit interior, poor reliability and 0 cachet... might as well just get an M4

Because they did ONCE and noticed it's the same window switches from the dodge rental they had last year.

Like seriously when he said it's a chrysler the center display and whatnot is literally the same thing with little chrome caps and obviously changing the branding.

I couldnt imagine paying equipped 5'er money for a basic FCA product just because it has a "ferrari" engine.

non car guy answer seems like.

Most of the time ''maintenance cost'' means :
- part availability
- DIY friendly
- Online support
- Common issues
annnddd then the money is more or less secondary. If it was, OP would ask about Camry, not maserati.

This is the cost of maintenance for old enthusiast car. People want to know if they can ride the car , have issue, avoiding a towing, and get back on the road the weekend after without taking the engine apart.

In example. A 335 E90 as a average cost maintenance. Most stuff on that car is easy to do, but the issues occurrence is very high. Support is very high, parts cost is mid-low.

So , for OP, Maserati forums is the way to go. I get through this with Aston Martin and 911 996. Maintenance cost was acceptable for the type of car.
Got a trex instead, faster than a 911 turbo, cost nothing to maintain, poor support, diy friendly.

Lol and it's still not compelling enough at that price. That's M3, Giulia QV, Blackwing, C63, etc. type of price. All cars where the parent company is able to sell every one they make.

The Ghibli performance version is what you need to look at…the one with the Ferrari V8.

It’s moderately priced also. I would own one in a heartbeat I have heard reliability concerns but you’re getting it under warranty.

That will make someone very happy. I wonder how the buyer will feel?

Most listings I've watched on there won't move much until the last day or even the last few minutes.

Yup, I was high bidder on a '66 mustang fastback last week. I thought there were 2 days left so I missed the last 4 hours where the price jumped $15,500

My "high" would have still been $5500 too low, so I wouldnt have won anyways.
