Everyone has opinions, I hated the Dodge Ram when it came out but it grew on me. I do like the car over all, it does needs some tweaks but very minor. But I do love how good the paint looks.

US spec’d cars are not equipped with the gas particulate filter (“GPF”) in the exhaust. Without a GPF, I doubt a US spec’d car would be allowed to drive on the EU roads.

Previously, US spec’d cars met the EU regulations, just euro cars didn’t meet US regulations. For example, US cars had amber reflectors, but euro cars did not. Nothing in Europe says you can’t have them, just they are required so US cars were still OK.

Now the opposite is true. The US has the less restrictive requirements, so a US car probably can’t be operated on EU roads without swapping the exhaust.

This would make sense as a possible reason, except that Porsche and Volvo still offer Euro delivery, presumably still running US exhaust systems…

Great photos and amazing experience! I did this in 2012 when I picked up my M3 (E93) convertible - one day before my birthday. Was One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I am going to lobby my dealership to see if I can pick up my M5 Touring there when it’s ready. It can’t hurt!
