I'm not suggesting it, i'm believing it...If my sources are wrong, then i guess I should really state specificially that every word I say is from webpages linked to me by google...I don't major in stuff like these...therefore when I read this information I believed it to be true...Luckily that part where I read about the polar shift seems to be correct.

Well I do (Mech. Engineering, but I have studied enough astrophysics to know what I am talking about).

This is the way i look at it. Ive seen the history channel special on this subject on youtube. They say all these prophets come to a conclusion that the world will end on this date. But then I started thinking. Being a prohpet made you a famous person. The way i see it, they were just taking other peoples ideas and using it as their own. In the special, a writer came up with a prohpet that said the same thing (world ends on this date blah blah) But he got this so called "prophecy" from a book. All this mumbo jumbo is just people trying to get noticed and become famous. People see what they want to see in things. People see the last date on a calendar they think "End of the world"

From what I remember, 2012 is just the end of the calender cycle, not the end of the world. And also, On December 21,2012 is when the sun aligns with the center of the Milky Way galaxy but most people don't know that happens every year.

I can't point to a specific book or online source, but I took a class here called "Extragalactic Astronomy and High-Energy Astrophysics" that covered pretty much everything from galactic formation and evolution to cosmic nuclear processes and the formation and evaporation of black holes. AWESOME!!!

As for the sun visually crossing the galactic plane (and thus aligning with the galactic center) and coinciding with the winter solstice, you would also be right! However galactic coordinates are difficult to determine. That said, if we go off of the coordinates defined by International Astronomers Union (IAU) in 1959, then it would show that a visual crossing of the galactic plane coinciding exactly with the winter solstice in fact occurred in 1998 without much incident.

In the previous paragraph I stated a "visual" crossing because neither the sun nor the earth are going to actually transverse the galactic plane any time soon (is 15 million years soon?). This happens because our solar system is currently located North of the galactic equator by at least a few dozen light years and it is also moving North at a rate of about 1.5 AU (Astronomical Units) per year thus reaching a maximum distance from the galactic equator of 230 light years in a very long time. The exact period of this occurrence is difficult to measure but scientific leaders estimate this value to be around 25-35 milion years.

yeah because the world state eliminated the sanctity of marriage, so everyone would be happy, constant, and pleased so that there wouldnt be any resistant force that will try eliminate the world state. free sex basically

idk really but to my it kinda seemed that like "big brother" is in charge like "nature or the universe" and we humans can't change anything, like "winston" from the book.
