Glendale is the home of the Cardinals/ Coyotes so the area is really growing rapidly. Westgate (the entertainment area next to the stadiums) is a really fun place to go out and drink.

and no, both Avondale and Goodyear are fully realized suburbs. There would be absolutely no need to go into the other cities to pick up groceries, or eat out or anything (unless of course you want to haha)

neither city has enough humidity to even be able to feel. its nothing like humidity on in the east.

and yea its really that hot lol. it gets down to 95 at night and if your unlucky enough to catch a breeze it just blows hot air on you lol.
during the day you dont go outside unless you have to.
its a great city and i love going there, but WTF was the first guy to settle there thinking. lol "hey its hot a fucking shit here and it looks like it almost never rains... i think ill live here! lol"

yea thats cottonwood mall
and not really haha i havent had to go to rio rancho for a few months

if your considering that the most just be careful when you drive. They just raised the fines associated with speeding tickets. Going up to 10 mph over the limit is going from $50 to $80.
11-15 mph over: $170
16-20 mph over: $220
21-25 mph over: $270
26-30 mph over: $320
31-35 mph over: $370
More than 35 mph: $420

The previous fine for the worst speeders was just $225. Each ticket also carries an additional $38 court cost.

Living in Phoenix proper would suck IMO. West Valley seems to have a lot less crime than the East and Central parts of the Valley. Don't get me wrong, we have our share of crime but seems like a lot more over in Mesa.

There is plenty to do on this side of town though. Here are a few things that Goodyear and the West Valley have to offer:

-Westgate in Glendale (15 minutes tops)
-The mall in Peoria is pretty nice (15-20 minutes)
-Cardinals Stadium
-Pretty much any resturaunt you could think of and then some more
-P.I.R. for NASCAR crap, dirtbike/quad tracks/drag strip
-Got our own airport and flight schools
-Tons of shopping/grocery stores
-Zoo (although admittedly not the greatest but my son still enjoys it)
-New Aquarium
-Plenty of parks
-Luke Air Force Base up in Glendale (10 minutes away)
-Always plenty of parties and stuff going on all just depends on what you're in to

Most of the nightclubs and strip clubs are in Phoenix and the East Valley but that also keeps a lot of the shootings and what-not over there.

There is a really nice area to live in but it's a bit of a drive from pretty much all the stuff in town called Estrella Mountain Ranch http://www.estrellamountainranch.com/ but it's pretty self-contained including it's own observitory and grocery store.

All in all there is still a lot of development going on out here and you can get a house cheap as hell right now. Property taxes are low too.

New Mexico is really nice too but I don't think you'll find nearly as much to do and I imagine cost of living is higher there.

Good info Thanks again. We will have to check out some more of AZ next time it sounds like. My dad thought it was less pretty in Phoenix then Albuq. Because the mountains are bigger and all around you? Can you explain why Phoenix is prettier??

That sounds like an awful disease to have had. I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope there are no long lasting effects.

hahaha otherwise known as spic dick

and some parts are abq are very very good looking while others are horrible. i think the reason abq looks a bit better than phoenix is because abq's elevation changes make it possible to have great views from almost anywhere.
to me, phoenix looks like its always really hot outside lol. not quite scorched but just dry.

and yea phoenix beats abq in the "stuff to do" catagory hands down. not even close lol

i love it haha

UNM has around 20,000 students so there are a ton of people our age around.
ABQ is more about the house party than the club haha.

as long as you get connected and make some friends there will always be a party to go to somewhere

Surprise is nice but more retired old folks there. Right by Luke AFB so a lot of old people retire there but again, close to most everything and low crime. Nice neighborhoods. I almost bought my house in Surprise when my wife got stationed at luke. Ended up in Goodyear instead though. Seemed like it was close to more stuff to do plus it's right on the interstate 10.
