Clothes might be a good idea. Maybe a gift card to Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Mens Wearhouse?

Hmm you guys actually got me thinking- a suit or 2 at Men's wearhouse might actually be a very nice idea. $300 at Neiman Marcus, on the other hand, would probably get him a pair of jeans.

Check Macy's and Dillard's. They have good sales on suits a lot. So does Jos A Bank.

I only know since I own a ton. I wear one just about every day and I refuse to spend the regular prices on them. like 2 years ago I bought 2 Ralph Lauren suits for 300 bucks total at Macy's. I got another one last year at Dillard's for 110 bucks. These are like 600 dollar suits.

Hmm...Men's Wearhouse has the 2 for 1 sale going on right now so it's like $250 + tax for 2 suits. Should I still look in to it since he has a couple of them already?

What kind of suits though? You don't want to buy him 2 turds, just because they are the same price as one.

Wasn't the first one in this thread, or others for that matter. My responses are usually 1. Logical 2. Sarcastic 3. Both.
It's pretty hard to ditch the logic, considering it's what I've been trained to do. Just ask my wife. She'll tell you how frustrating it is. |

unless his planned profession requires him to wear a suit to work everyday (more and more rare nowadays)...he doesn't really need more than a couple. if you're planning on buying him a suit, do not buy without him trying it on first (each brand/manf. fits differently). fyi - nordstrom rack is a good place to start if this is the route you choose to take.

Edit: I think I should get him a nice watch. I found a site and the prices are not too bad. Currently set on a Movado unless you guys can recommend some other brands. I'll admit I'm clueless about a lot of watches. http://www.watchesonnet.com/category...&Search=Search Last edited by BMW F22; 06-04-2009 at 09:28 PM.. |
