It's a matter of time before your "good" friend starts asking you to borrow money.

Most likely true, but ultimate we (the consumers) will pay for this in the form of raised fees, increased interest rates and/or stricter requirements to obtain credit...no matter what happened, the banks WILL win in the end.

1. your friends stupid
2. the casinos dont hand out money(in your case giving you 2,000 back) not the business venue they are in. (duh) just incase your friend didnt know. 3. Your not a good friend if hes having a hard time and your letting him drop this kind of cash. Go get the cash and go seek some help for this guy. I say they arrest your friend and teach him a lesson. I dont like BS like this. This is why our business doesn't take credit card transactions. I sold a car to someone out of state with a CC, and the mother fucker declared a chargeback for absolutely no reason trying to be a smart ass. Declaring he never purchased a car. The bank held 29,800 for 7 months from us until they took their sweet ass time investigating and then gave it back. I will personally one day fly to louisana, and break his face with a bat. Trying to steal money from us. I hope they fuck your friend up legally for his low life shit |

If your buddy gets away with this then I would say lesson learned by the C.C. company and the Casino. Give him some advice and tell him not to do it again cause greed will come back and bite him in the a**

Your friends tough times.... just got a lot tougher. It may seem funny/humorous because of the consistancy of the ass raping jokes going on ITT, but he needs to call back his CC company and tell them he was drunk and made a mistake. Otherwise, he is going to be spending 5 times that on a lawyer to keep his ass out of prison.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

he will without a doubt, be investigated. 2 grand may seem like a small amount to the casino, but as mentioned above they will without a doubt spend the 2 seconds of effort to track it down. You think the casino's not going to care if you try to steal 2 grand of chips?
Your friend is fucked, he needs to cancel that chargeback asap, he's also a total dumbass |

Lets put it this way, even if the the company or casino do not fully investigate this incident, your friend will begin to think since he got away with this one he will get away in the future. He may not get busted this time by, but no one luck is that good.
I agree, the credit card companies will tell the place who gave him the $2000 they are not going to get paid, and they generally will not stand by any let that happen, they will investigate and if you friend use that card any time before or after that transaction they are sure to look at those as well. |

Second, the gaming industry and the credit card industries are have some of the most sophisticated anti-fraud measures known to man. Your friend's actions are total amateur hour and he will get caught for sure. Third, he does not sound like a douche, he IS a douche. If he's going through tough times, he should have never set foot in a casino. Tell him to own up to his decisions like a man. I have no sypmathy for him losing money he should never have gambled with, and I will have no sympathy for him when he is put behind bars for fraud.
