I was locked out yesterday but I called them up last night and today i got in. Seems I can only lock/unlock and send locations from google maps. Sending the location would come in very handy since I've always been in that situation!

yeah i havent seen anything pop different saying that im locked out, just same error over and over..i tried a couple times in a row then stopped just in case it did it...

It actually is quite cool. I got mine up and going in no time for my 7 series. Just enter your BMW Assist user ID and password and you're in. Mine allows me to lock, unlock, flash lights, sound horn, and use local search to send directions to car nav system. Nice! I like the fact that you can adjust the number of times the horn sounds or the lights flash. Nice touch.

My M3 (2008 E93) only supports the lock / unlock and local search features.

I noticed in the demo mode that there's also the ability to control the air conditioning so you can "pre condition" your car before getting in. Unfortunately, my 2012 7-Series doesn't support that capability. I'm betting this is reserved for ActiveHybrid cars since the AC in those cars is run off the rechargeable battery. Anyone have an ActiveHybrid? Let us know if this feature has been enabled for you.

Finally got it to work. My car only supports lock/unlock and Google search. I like the latter feature a lot, as I was that functionality from Google Maps on my computer already, but have always wished that my iPhone had similar functionality -- and now it does!

I didn't get the locked out message until BMW Assist helped get my current password then when I tried to log in it said I was locked. Called again 888-333-6118 and then I had to change my password. Now I must wait 48 hours before it will be unlock... my account that is not my car. Lol.

Can someone with a working US version of the app please provide the version ID? Mine is 2.0_r11590/11684 / 2.4.1. I'm not sure I have the right version on my iPhone, as I had the UK version, previously.

Well I just picked up a used 2011 335d and I have a ipad2... So I down loaded the app but it does not connect to the car.... I tried the USB port under the arm rest and glove box.. Hmmm I guess it does not work with the iPad

I got a locked out message, called BMW Assist and they reset it but it take 24 hours so I have to try again tomorrow. I was also told both my username and password has to be all capitalized.

Same thing with me... I also get that error message when I try and login on the app on my phone, and when I go to login on the ConnectedDrive portal I get a blank page....

Anyone know what is up with this??

dang... no android app? sounds nice if they work out the bugs every one seems to be reporting...

There are no bugs, the problems some are having are account related and not with the app.

Success! I had tried the European route without any success. Also got locked out for trying too many times. One call to BMW assist and 24hours later, voila! All CAPs to login, and once you are in, pick a pin and that is all u need to key in the next time. Thanks, this is sleek.

Do u guys need to login into the BMW Connecteddrive portal on PC before the app works? Mine keep saying "no activated services. Please go to Connecteddrive portal to activate remote services"
