my uncle has me hooked on the idea of a private pilots license. he flies a Cirrus SR22 and raves about the convenience of private air travel. I wouldnt do it to replace my dental career but im looking into it for recreation/travel needs.

MonkUSMC:
After Nam,was not old enough,m finished at Castle AFB in 1980 and was done flying Buff's in 91. Interesting story as one of my instructor pilots flew B-58's and showed me when reading the Dash-1 in bold face print, loss of an outboard engine at supersonic flight will cause the aircraft to tumble. Nuff said but what an awesome aircraft... I miss instructing but it has gotten so expensive for students anymore that there are not a lot of them left. |

No don't work for SABCA. ENJJPT uses a rating system. If your home country's air force has only fighters, you get a fighter. But for the US pilots going thru the assignment can range from say F22 to MAC (military airlift command) depending on how well you did and where pilots are needed

25 hours here
Work forced me to stop flying before I could get my solo. Just need to do the written and I am good to go for my solo. I flew twice this year, and both FOs (different) were shocked that I was still on the ball after such long hiatus I've also done the Air Combat USA thing in Fullerton, CA Really fun!
