For the people comparing lap times. Here is all recorded lap times from tracks both cars have been driven at. You can interpret the info how ever you like.
I personally think the LFA is a engineering exercise and a fantastic car. Lap times don't necessarily make a car. Jeremy is not using them to determine why he likes the LFA so much. 458 - Autocar Dry Handling Track 1:08.90 LFA - Autocar Dry Handling Track 1:11.60 458 - Hockenheim Short 1:09.70 LFA - Hockenheim Short 1:11.00 458 - Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours Club 1:20.16 LFA - Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours Club 1:20.64 458 - Laguna Seca 1:36.22 LFA - Laguna Seca 1:36.39 458 - SportAuto wet handling test 1:33.60 LFA - SportAuto wet handling test 1:35.50 458 - Nordschleife Full (Sport Auto) 7:32.92 LFA - Nordschleife Full (Sport Auto) 7:38.85 458 - Balocco 2:43.90 LFA - Balocco 2:48.52 458 - Virginia International Raceway 2:49.90 LFA - Virginia International Raceway 2:55.10 |

Did you not read the first line? Most cars branded as Lexus over here are branded as Toyotas everywhere else in the world.

^^ Apparently! What happened to all the people that just love cars regardless of the badge?

Through the years, I've bought 3 different bimmers and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I've been subscribed to Motor Trend magazine for about 10 years now and usually never miss and episode of Top Gear. I have a true passion for cars (not just BMW) and for you to say my intent is to presumably start a forum war is peposterous. I know this is the internet and you can never really know if someone is troling or not (are you?) but let me tell you about myself. I am very blunt guy and if my MO was to start a forum war, it would be a helluva lot different than thread. Something like "Audizine is wayyyy better than NASIOC" is an example of how to start a forum war. Then, what's the point of a forum war? I know how people get banned from here so that's pointless. If you don't like Jeremy Clarkson's statement about the LFA or the link to the article, simply say so. You are the only person ITT that has such an opinion. It's time for me to leave work and enjoy my weekend, so I'll check back on this thread Monday. Enjoy your weekend! Back on Topic: that V10 downshifting throttle blip on the LFA is sex |
