Don't jump to conclusions there buddy. yeah my dad helped me buy my 3rd car when I was 17 big deal(jealous much?). but believe me I paid for a majority of it. As for mods 100% my money. and I have just about half the worth of your car into in modifications and can probably train lengths on you Never taken my car to the dealer and perform all the work my self. and made a living out of it. and if I ever want to stop working Its back to working for daddy and daddy's money. got about a year left with premed then moving to med school then ill be leeching off daddys money with school being paid for with my grades.
people on this forum really need to chill it with age shit its getting annoying.
ur about 5 years older than me... in 5 years when im your age. ill be making 6 figures easy. im 19 almost done with pre-med. anesthesiologist when im 25-26.
Sammy I thought you were alright at first but this is ridiculous. You can talk all you want about what you want to do or will do but until you've done it, nobody gives a rip. You're just another kid with a big plan and little real-life experience.

I'll bring this back down to earth a notch.

This was my house in April of 2012.

This is my house now...same house, just added a tiny addition. Only difference, in 2012 I didn't have a mortgage...now, I do.

5 bedrooms, 3 car garage...and almost every bit I've done myself (except for raising the roof). Still a work in progress...

Ha! This is a good one to remember.

I contemplated weather or not to post in here; i did so in hopes to bring some normalcy into the thread. Built this with my wife in 2009. The design process was fun. It was nice being able to design into the house those small details i've always wanted.

Funny that i haven't taken any pics of it since it was built. This was even before the garage doors were painted... and before i dropped the M3.

We came into some money sooner than expected and added the pool on in 2010.

Here is a view of the lake.

i used to think that way too. though if you're famous (or just hate being in public), a nice big house with all the fun stuff keeps you from getting restless. me, i can live in front of a nice computer/tv.

and then there are the big biz guys and politicians who need a badass house to host events.

Here are a quick couple pics. One a few days before starting...I took my Marty McFly truck out on the lot to do a few doughnuts before the dig started. Second picture is the foot print of the house.

Well, you need to know what you are talking about before you start arguing.
If you are ABOUT to take MCAT NEXT year. That means you are 2 years away from getting into med school IF you get in on the first attempt. Then 4 years of Medical school. 1 year internship. 3 years anesthesiology residency IF you match on the first attempt.

So..your are really closer to 10 years away than you are to 6. Just saying.

Edit: btw, those are some nice homes in here! Congrats on building such beauties.

Can I start a new thread and have the mods delete any off topic posts! I wanted ideas and figured this would be a good place to come. Turns out it is but now another good thread has been ruined and people don't even want to post here.

Lets just be glad everyone has ambitions and a goals to work towards. None of us will ever meet eachother so who cares.

Is it possible to start another thread and be able to delete all the off topic hate? Or make an "official members house thread" that includes the members homes or their family members home. I don't care who the house belongs to, why would I. Geeze!

The best part is that the pissing contest is between the kids over who WILL make more money.

I'm going to bring this thread back to reality and hopefully encourage some other folks to post pics for this guy

My place...

It's not much from the outside, but it does the trick and meets my only real requirement (minimum 2 car garage). To be honest, my wife and I have been talking about using it as a rental and moving in to something a bit smaller (total ft.sq. is about 3200 over four floors) with more usable square footage (fewer bedrooms, more living *******.

Growing up, my dad was one of those guys who made pretty darn good money for as long as i can remember, but we lived in the same modest house our entire lives and he still lives there today...I guess I take a page from his book in that regards...

If you want to see the crazy houses, I can post pics of my In-laws places I don't think they've every built anything less than 11k ft.sq. and the finishing is AMAZING (they are some of the best luxury homebuilders around the dc area (Potomac, Bethesda etc.)

Four floors seem like a lot to maintain, no matter what the st/footage. I'd imagine you dont venture to most of the house. If you have the means for a rental property i think it's a great idea. I'm going to try for a rental property before the market comes back and I can't afford it. Why not have someone else pay your mortage.
