Chris Harris is one of the few journalists I trust. He gained my absolute trust after what he did to expose Ferrari years ago.
If I had to list a few of the most unbiased, credible auto journalists today, no one from Top Gear (including Clarkson) would be on my short list.

Pretty sure a GT3 RS 4.0 can beat it. And that's 'iconic.' C2S is a great car...but not iconic by any means. Calm the heck down, btw. The 5.0 Mustang...want to talk to me again about its suspension? |

Not being argumentative. Just suggesting a journalist to check out.

Aren't most GM cars like the camaro, challengers, etc built on Mercedes chassis? Some of them have german motors, no? Just curious, as i have no dog in this fight. American car companies are turning out some performers for sure. A little late to the game but at least they've made it.
I could give a rip is my car had a Kia or Mopar badge on it. I would have taken it off just like i did the M3 badge.

The Camaro is on the Zeta platform which GM's Australian subsidiary Holden developed for their Commodore( which also became our Pontiac G8 and Chevy SS). The engines are of course either GM's 3.6 liter V6 or the Small Block V8 and Chrysler's is the Pentastar which started development under Cerberus I believe and their Hemi which is not based off any Mercedes V8 since it is OHV like Chevy's Small Block. If you're still talking about the magazine, ok, but if you're talking about the idiots, then you're just trying to find journalists that tailor to your own biases. |

you're high......
see, that's why I can't have these conversations with some of you cheese dicks, because some of ya'll are barely passable as fucking retards.... http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._r_comparison/ "...We're very familiar with the GT-R Track, having run it at last year's 2013 Best Driver's Car, where it placed sixth out of 12. This flavor of Godzilla comes packing a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6 good for 545 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. The new Turbo S is (somehow) even more potent, as its twin-turbo, 3.8-liter boxer-six summons up an impressive 560 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. However, there's an overboost mode between 2200 and 4000 rpm that allows the Turbo S to generate 553 lb-ft of twisting force for short bursts. The Z/28 packs GM's familiar and fantastic hand-built LS7 lifted straight out of the C6 Z06, a 7.0-liter small-block pushrod V-8 that's good for 505 hp and 481 lb-ft..." |

if all we cared about is lap times, none of us would be driving bimmers. theres more to the driving experience than just numbers.

The absolute LAST thing I consider when buying a car is how well it does on the track. Unless you're taking your vehicle to the track actively, which most of us don't, debating how well a Camaro does vs. a Ford on the Nurburgring I slightly silly.

The real funny thing is that I was trolling all along. Surprised no one caught on to that, but I enjoyed all the heated enthusiasm in the replies. I thought the plastic interior comment would have given it away, but nope...
