The problem with guy stuff is, something $50 looks like it's $10... It's not the same with women... Women can find something for $50, rock it out with some accessories or whatnot, and make it look like it's worth $500... even worse is for our shoes... I can't do Coke Haan, I just can't... They look like grandpa orthopedic shoes... I get they're owned by nike and made to be somewhat comfortable, but they are dress shoes... It's like a f80 - they weren't made to be comfortable...

I'm probably the wrong person to ask... I have my dress shirts tailored if I buy it off the rack... Don't get me wrong, I love wearing a tshirt and jeans, and if I could wear flip flops or bare feet all year round I'd do it too... But I am particular about the stuff I do wear - it's not about the label or the price, it's about the fit and finish for me...
Thats how you make something that is $50 look like a few hundo.

Except for guys, it usually ends up costing a few hundo after tailoring and what not. lol

I've finally figured out that i need to buy slim fit shirts and size up. I used to try to buy dress shirts based only on my shoulder width. This would leave the neck a little loose and look like a tent below the shoulders. Now i buy slim fit and doing the same thing puts the neck is a little snug, but below the shoulders is much more fitted which on some brands saves with the tailoring. Though i rarely wear suits or ties so it's not a huge expense though. I do like a nice dress shirt with jeans. Most of my clothes and shoes are built for comfort.
It's the damn tailors that drive the price up, but there's only so much my little magician with a needle and thread can do...

No alterations for shoes though... I have no way around that...

Just some nice all around casual shoes that can be worn with jeans or dress slacks when I hit the bars or just out on a normal day.

I don't have to meet with clients, appearance is definitely not a must in my line of work, and I don't discriminate on what kind of woman I'm with as I've been with em all at this point.

Comfort and style, although comfort takes precedent because I'm on my feet for a large portion of the day, but don't want some old man style shit. Fit, classy but not too fancy.

Lol I love high end shit, but not everyone else does/cares to spend what I've spent on some of my things.

Based on Ax's parameters, I gave him a set of stuff to peruse should he feel the need to do so. That's why the first thing I asked about was price. I will say that I no longer spend on crazy Mr. Porter shit like I used to. I try to just catch sales at the higher end retailers and take care of my clothes so I am not always needing to buy new shit.

Bruno's are comfy... Ish...

But to match what you said, office and wear out plus slacks or denim? Check out Frye... I have several pair of boots and I'll be damned if the quality isn't too notch and they are pretty damn comfortable for boots...

http://www.thefryecompany.com/men-oxfords-shoes/l/220

Those would look great with slacks or denim plus fashionable... IMO...

I noticed you didn't select your size of 6.5 before screen shooting that....

Actually I wear a size 7, thank you very much. Girls always ask if it's true what they say about the size of a mans feet, and I just smirk and give a sexy little head nod.

You won't be disappointed. Calf skin is great. Only gripe is the leather bottom versions aren't super durable. Otherwise, awesome.

Agreed... What I do like for wearing on the plane or having to walk large distances are the half breeds... Leather around the edges and sides, but rubber soles just in the middle where your feet need to cushion and support... Ferragamo and Bruno's do that, as i'm sure other brands have followed suit... Nothing like sliding around as if you are on an ice rink with all leather bottoms though...

It's like the Twilight Zone. A role reversal has occurred. Pages of men talking about shopping for shoes. What's next waxing versus Nair?

I have that thing that says I'm not good at sticking to a single task because the mind gets easily side tracked, like I was thinking about this earlier..., I thought squirrels hibernated during the winter, but I see them out all the time year round...,

Do squirrels really not hibernate or is just too warm here?

What were we talking about again?

Squirrels hibernate.

Had a few of them wacked in the winter while they slept.

Really? Damn, there's these two little guys in my subdivision that were out all through the winter. I would leave little treats on the front porch and they'd come grab them and run off.

Haven't seen them in a while..., wonder if they got hit by a car playing tag or something.
