I submitted back in April and its still pending. Now I know its a long process, but Silencer Shop was saying its a 90 day, sometines faster approval when electronically filed, and we are well past 90 days.

I'm wondering if theres something I need to do. The colors are slightly off in their app. The key shows "completed" as a lighter green then the completed boxes are, and current should be orange, so it makes me think the pinkish "actions required" might be off as well and my red box means I need to do something. I have no emails, nor does the dealer stating I need to do anything.

Anyone else see this with theirs?
While I ordered with Silencer Shop before the efile option, I am right at one year........and still waiting. My advice? Don't count on it being too soon or you'll drive yourself nuts.

The final line states that citizens have the individual right to own firearms for lawful purposes and that the government may not interfere with that right. Therefor any law which regulates or interferes with a citizen's right to bear arms is illegal and unconstitutional.

It is not a question of IF but WHEN this will eventually get to the present sitting members of SCOTUS.

There have been three landmark Supreme Court rulings on the Second Amendment in recent years: District of Columbia v. Heller, McDonald v. City of Chicago, and New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen

In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled on the Second Amendment for the first time in almost 70 years after Dick Heller sued the District of Columbia over its ban on handguns in the home. The court ruled in Heller's favor, affirming an individual right to keep handguns in the home for self-defense.

In 2010, the Supreme Court heard a case challenging Chicago's handgun ban, one similar to DC's recently overturned ban. Otis McDonald and three other Chicago residents sued the city over the ban, and because the Heller decision only applied federally, the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case. June 28, 2010 in McDonald v. City of Chicago, the Supreme Court held in a 5–4 ruling that the Second Amendment applies to state and local governments in addition to the federal government. Chicago's complete handgun ban was overturned.

June 23, 2022 New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen in a 6–3 decision, the majority ruled that New York's law was unconstitutional, and effectively ruled that the possession of pistols in public was a constitutional right under the Second Amendment. While the ruling directly applied only to New York's law, legal analysts and lawmakers expected the ruling to be used to challenge the "may-issue" gun regulations in California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. Lawmakers in New York and these states began evaluating new regulations that would comply with the Supreme Court ruling while maintaining strict ownership laws.

It is coming and certain people's heads are going to explode.
If all that is true, why was the 1995 assault weapon ban never overturned?

(i'd love to see some heads exploding now)

When finally SCOTUS hears a broad case regarding the 2nd A many existing laws are probably going to be deemed unconstitutional. The fact they exist is because they have not been heard.

Betting it's your head that will explode when this happens.

Didn't need to be - they stuck in a 10 year sunset on it to get it to pass and when it was up for renewal - they didn't.

I kind of like this - I think any law that passes by a super close majority should have to be revisited every XX years or something. It's amazing how many laws are on the books that we "ignore" now, but why not just get rid of them? If they just went away - we'd have far less laws - which I'd prefer. LOL

When New York's law was declared unconstitutional and ruled that the possession of pistols in public was a constitutional right under the Second Amendment it means similar laws in five other states, including Hawaii, are now unconstitutional.

https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/researc...e-restrictions

California’s law limiting who can carry a concealed gun was one of six similar laws deemed unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court. The high court’s June 23 decision struck down a New York law that required people to show a specific need to carry a firearm in public.

In California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York, the Supreme Court’s decision invalidates laws requiring permit applicants to prove they have a special need to carry a concealed firearm. <--- Technically in MA you do not have to prove anything to CC/get your LTC. They do ask you to state why in a few sentences you think you should be given your LTC. All you have to write is, "I want to exercise the right that the 2A gives me in a lawful manner."

Almost every gun law is unconstitutional. The more cases that are brought up to higher courts or the SC will prove this. The tide is turning.

I joined the Wilson grip module club today. Jury is still out. I like the original so much. I'll have to carry it for a few weeks to see if I dig it. The Palm swells are a little more than I expected. Fit and finish is excellent however even though the magazine release was a mother humper to get in.

I'm certainly tucking my factory one away because I'm not sold yet. I know Bill Wilson and he's a good chap and I really wanted to like his product. It might be that it's just different you know? I'll give it a couple weeks. I do like the aggressive stippling, but the jury's out on the palm swells.

I found the factory module too thin for my hands. And the WC too aggressive for my belly. lol. So I moved it away from AIWB and just carry it either IWB against a t-shirt or in the pocket. Now it feels fine. I prefer the slightly thicker WC grip.

LOL - when I started carrying appendix with the Zero Bulk holster - I realized cold gun again warm belly = not great. So in the summers I wear a tank top tucked in under my polo and in the winter I have an undershirt on anyway. In the summer when I am in a tshirt only - I got a Zero Bulk Pro to add some leather between me - but my new optics do not work with that one, so I'll hope to find an alternative by next summer. Not a fan of full IWB holsters - just too thick for my tastes.

Yes....we *let* this happen....you do understand we don't have a constitutional right to firearms right? There isn't a *let* here. Nor is there a right being removed. Let's see if the Liberals stay in power this next federal election though...not so sure they will. Sadly, going to be 2024 before it is called.

Yeah, but at least acid and knives require you getting close and takes more time to effect the same numbers, if even possible. Not like say your Las Vegas shooter, your out of control school shootings, numerous lethal encounters with the police, etc because you lot can't get your act together. I don't know...think I'll take the former over the latter. But you keep preaching about the sins of everywhere else in an effort to take away attention from the deep flaws of America, maybe it will work. Or you know, maybe Americans are just as much idiots as Canadians, just for different reasons since you seem to have zero solutions as to how to clamp down on gun violence?

Your countrymen voted Fidel's love child into office. You get what you get. Your PM banned 1,500 models of assault-style firearms and variants of AR-15 rifles in 2020. This is ONLY going to continue to where you end up like the UK. Your rifles and shotguns will be next. While they disarm you they will tell you this is in your best interest and will make YOU safer. How comical is that?
