If you already have AR's, AK, some 12 gauges, what other guns would you purchase before its banned in the future?
A scar is a little out of my budget range.

FedGov and the states may not be able to ban certain firearms, but they will ban/severely restrict parts and accessories. |

I made the mistake last night of looking up reviews on best hunting rifles that are also very accurate. I knew nothing about the seekins havak pro hunter before I started but now I sort of want one.
Sadly only one shop seems to sell them in Canada and at $3,200 its more than I care to spend. Might sell the Remington 700 and look for an xbolt though. |

Ok, after researching more, the scar 16 has moved into my budget range. For those that have it, are you happy you bought it or would you rather have purchased something else?

In my option the scar 16 doesn’t make much sense as an alternative to the AR platform. If you have the RCH model the action is a more open design which won’t be as reliable, it’s heavier than a DI AR, and it’s much more expensive than even the best AR’s (KAC, DD, LMT, ect.). Now the scar 17 as a battle rifle, I don’t think there’s a better alternative. That’s just my .2 cents

Kinda Firearm related...I picked up a MantisX Laser Academy and I dont know if anyone else here has one but it is pretty good. Ive had it since friday and Ive already put 700+ "shots" through it. I definitely recommend it!

You have bought the best rifle ever (until you try a 17 ). Nothing compares. Make sure you get the Geissele Super Scar trigger. You have the king piece now, enjoy.

I really like it!

I put the charging handle on the right because I have a reciprocating bolt version. By placing it on the right, there's zero chance I'll ever get SCAR bite. It doesn't bother me at all having on the right side as I've been an AK shooter for decades so it's second nature charging on the right side. |

Wish us luck here in Illinois. “AWB” passed the house and on its way to the senate. I can’t wait for the lawsuits to roll in.

EOTech EXPS3/G45 and magpul fore grip installed. This gun is so damn sexy
I am looking into the Giselle scar trigger, but I would like to see how OEM shoots first.
