That Squirrel is great, looks like it belongs on a Xmas card.
Ever wake up and feel you've had one urchin too many? I bet this one does.

Either that, or he's praying for more !

Thanks for your kind comment on the squirrel.

Fantasy Night, Covesea Lighthouse.

Just playing around on a wet day.
Lighthouse from one shot, moon from another, and heavily textured.
Background just from my imagination.

Lunch in Yountville California. Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc restaraunt sells box lunches during the summer out behind the restaurant in their garden. Called Addendum, you can pick between the fried chicken, ribs, or a pulled pork sandwich, plus two sides (whatever they made for that day, no picking) for around 17 bucks. While that sounds a bit pricey, trust me, KFC this is not!

Brilliant humming bird shot David.

Our birdlife is nowhere near as exotic, I'm afraid.
Here's a heron just lifting off from the River Lossie after doing a spot of fishing.

Love that B&W night shot Andy. The starbursts really add to the feel.

Alan, do hummingbirds make it to the UK at all? They migrate long distances here in the Americas, but with only short jogs over water. The Channel may be too much.

Your heron looks just like our great blue heron:

He's not kidding. Every once in a while, I visit this thread and try to razz them, but they don't bite...
Some awesome photography here, I won't even attempt to compete with my Galaxy S5 camera
