Okay. Enough name-calling and meaningless arguing.
Thanks.

B) Better battery life. The iPad has two big batteries. Don't need to worry about the iPad. The iPhone has one battery. Plus, so far benchmarks run on the iPhone 4 and iPad, shows the iPad scoring better scores which does suggest the A4 in the iPhone is downclocked. |

It's not just the resolution. Pixel density plays a big part, too. I'm amazed every time I look at the screen, though. The text clarity is just staggering.

had to get a replacement iPhone. my old iPhone did the opposite of all the reported issues. it had no bars and would slowly gain bars when i touched it. this problem is far worse IMO because most of my calls would get rejected and sent straight to voicemail. i'm sure i'll prolly be a small minority facing this problem.

I have read that the Nexus One signal drops in the "death grip", the 3G and 3GS( and probably the original) signal drops, etc. It isn't a "problem" strictly related to the iPhone 4. |

im not sure of the nexus but the 3g/s & original didn't have signal drops/death grip problems as the antenna wasn't built on the side trim afaik and this is strictly an iphone 4 thread .

http://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/24/...l-loss-issues/ Yes, the iPhone 4 is a bit more sensitive, but it isn't an iPhone 4 problem or issue. |

Steve will act like he just invented the world's first cellphone capable of being held without losing reception.

The feeding frenzy has begun. Although this suit has frivolous written all over it. If you don't like the phone, bring it back.

I did for the first year or so with my 3g, but stopped for the last year, and while it's got a few dings on the plastic case and chrome bezel, the glass looks like new and from six inches away, the case looks like new. I don't plan on using one on the 4g, as soon as white comes out.

"Apple Inc. said Friday that all of its iPhones mistakenly inflate their signal strength, amid growing doubts about the effectiveness of the wraparound antenna design of the iPhone 4.
The Cupertino, Calif., company said that since the original iPhone, it has used an incorrect method to determine the number of bars to display on the device. In some cases, the iPhone would display two more bars than it should, providing an overly rosy indication of its cellular reception. Apple said it would issue a software update "within a few weeks" to fix the problem for every model but the original iPhone..." http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...NewsCollection sure Apple! |

Good read.
It doesn't matter what Apple is accused of doing... People will keep buying their products in droves because they've somehow become addicted to the taste of Steve Jobs' dookie. This antenna and signal strength "oversight" doesn't surprise me at all. They know they don't have to release a finished product. The sad thing is, the iPhone 4 would be an incredible device had they just paid attention to this glaringly simple and important issue. There's no way they didn't know about this before release. They just didn't care, as evidenced by His reaction after the issue was reverberating through the public.... "Just don't hold it that way" or buy our $30 bumpers.... What a f'n asshole. |

Steve Jobs just tried to say "These aren't the droids you're looking for..."
No, the irony isn't lost on me either..... So, the problem isn't that the antennae placement is FUBAR, but that their software that estimates the signal strength is wrong? So when I see an iPhone4 in the Apple store with "5 full bars" in downtown Bellevue, it doesn't really have 5 full bars, but more like 3 bars. And that by picking it up and holding it in my left hand (which is how I hold my 3GS), it slowly goes from 5 full bars to ZERO bars is because the software is over-estimating signal strength? Steve Jobs, do you REALLY think we are all THAT FUCKING STUPID!?!!?! Come on, first the total rant against Adobe Flash, and now you are going to honestly tell us that there is nothing wrong with iPhone4 other than a software glitch that over-estimates signal strength? Unfuckingbeliveable.... Even Jobs holds the phone like the rest of us morons, in his left hand covering the antennae.... Douchenozzle...
