It's kinda funny that some Magic fans (not pointing to anyone in this thread) have criticized the Staples Center for being quiet. Game 5 was pretty quiet in Orlando. Especially considering it was their last home game of the entire year. At times in the game, the Lakers fans made their impacts with their MVP chants, "Lukeeeeeeee", and "LETS GO LAKERS" chants.

Being from Orlando, you're absolutely correct. The Amway arena was silent, no question about it.

Part of the problem is, none of the REAL fans could get tickets to the game. It was on the local news and radio. They really f'ed up the tickets sales for the games.

Most of the people there would rather be on their BlackBerry's telling other people that they're at the game

Good write up for sure, but some people are meant to fly alone. Unfortunately in the game of basketball the team has to come together in sync to win. At times though (when the lakers are struggling) it's Kobe to the rescue until they start clicking again. I agree with his statement that Pao should see the ball more.

don't think thats a diss at all. im not a kobe or laker hater, in fact i appreciate Kobe's game alot just cuz it reminds me so much of MJ, who was my fav player of all time. however, i think it's the Kobe nut suckers who cant accept the reality of who he is.. i think Kobe has changed and matured since the years with Shaq..however, saying Kobe has changed and all of a suddent became unselfish compare to the past couple of years? that's just a load of crap. he still jacks up wayyy too many shots in too many occasions. we all know it, laker fans knows it. but again, no one dare to complain for some reason. as long as they win i guess. but i would think they can win much more easily and play much more efficient if Gasol gets more shots. though i dont think Kobe can stand sharing the spotlight like that.

You're pretty delusional. MJ shot just as much and around the same % as Kobe in many of his Finals series. Perhaps Shaq could've been more mature also? Perhaps Pau can be more aggressive himself. He gets touches, he just doesn't always shoot the ball. Kobe is the Lakers leader in assists.

Michael Jordan averaged 33 ppg, 2.3 assists, on 42.7% FG shooting in the 97-98 finals. How come we don't hear about him being a ball hog? "He needs to pass more, he shoots too much." He only averaged 2.3 assists on a low 42.7 FG %. People need to stop being hypocrites and open their eyes.

Oh sure, put Lebron on the team and the Lakers suddenly win 8 more games than ANY team in NBA history. Since the 1980s, only 6 teams have won more than 63 wins. Only one team in NBA History has won 72 games. You're telling me Lebron can suddenly propel the Lakers to win 8 more games than the NBA record which no other team in the modern era has won more than 67 games?
