People are trading them because they go up and down in value, not because of any underlying value. When prices are broken, people think the price itself matters...it doesn’t.

In fairness, there is more than two of them. I'm here too, just being relatively silent until the right moment strikes...so there is at least three of us.

"Cartel" well, I guess that's one way to describe them.

They have enough money to short unregulated markets and make those price predictions come true, I believe I mentioned futures were a major reason in the price depression a few months back in this thread.

The MtGox dipshit lawyer was maybe a wildcard, but given he sold on the open market DESPITE having better offers to buy off market (he gets a better deal for his clients and the price doesn't drop) makes me think he was "pursuaded" to help them. Would be nice if the Japanese SEC investigated him thoroughly, or he ends up like that korean finance minister

haha! I read some technical trading articles on various cryto trading...

The problem is, you can't purely trade on technicals. A combo of fundamentals and technicals gives you a broad sense of direction of a tradable asset.

Problem with cryptos is the fundamental part.

For what its worth, humor is defined by misfortune viewed from afar. Having said that, I'm in crypto about $18k. Nay sayers can talk all they want. People have been telling me I'm an idiot for the investments I make for years. But they are still driving a 1996 Hyundai Accent, working the same job, bitching about the same shit. I took 3 months off end of last year...while I spent $25k on remodeling my second home. Being an idiot sure paid off.
