Ask the ex if it would be weird for her if you brought home another girl. If she gets jealous, then there are still too many feelings involved. If you two are truly just friends, a new chick should be understanding of the situation. Just make sure you are honest. And stop spooning.

Her current lease ends in 2 months and since she is taking the IL bar she wants to move back to Chicago. Bottom line is that she is not in a position to sign a new lease until she passes her bar and secures a job.

I was a big part of her decision to move to a different state to pursue her degree and feel bad for her now. She has over $200k in student loans... and struggles with money. She was financing her lifestyle for the last 3 years.

We dated for 2.5 years (before and during law school) and pretty much didn't talk for 1 year. We started talking/texting again this year.
