Are the slats in the kidneys convex to the outside on both (M240 and propably 230)?

The slats certainly look different. Artemis had a good post on the last page with a closeup of the M240 grille.

Here is his post for reference: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=762

I'm guessing those are just active grille shutters that are closed, and they would just twist inwards (or outwards? hard to tell with camo) to open up.

Yep, that would make sense.

Am I the only one completely turned off by the single headlight design?

BMW better not mess the m2 up. ( They most likely will).

Looks "cheap" to me. Not sure why but the mule-cars reminds me of something cheap and Japanese-looking.

These are clearly well executed though. And it's not like we haven't seen the front end already. I think for me it's the entire package of all the current designs that look terrible. From the 4 series to the iX and now this. Maybe I'm getting too old for this lol.

I'm going to miss the F22 styling, but I don't hate the G42. And besides, I can step inside my garage to appreciate an F22

Is there any way the AWD system from the M3/4 could be retrofitted into the future M2?

This is shaping up to be a very handsome car. What remains to be seen is its size and weight!

Very happy to see the strong shoulder lines that the current 2-series wears. It is one of my favorite visual cues on the car.

And by hot cakes you mean probably one of the worst selling bmw in their lineup lol. Not because it won't be good but because it's not an suv

Not super crazy about the extra wide kidneys and how that pushes the headlights to the extreme corners. It's not a disaster, but I don't really prefer it to the current design either.

Nice to see a hint of a power bulge on that non M-sport car. Body looks good so far.
