“It’s not that Hamilton isn’t good. But he has an inferior driver by his side and the previous one [Nico Rosberg] was even worse. I don't know about that! Rosberg isn't great but I'd take him over BottASS any day!!!!!! |

Kovalainen, Raikonnen and Bottas were showed up when partnered with Alonso (Raikonnen), and Hamilton (Kovalainen and Bottas), showed up being synonymous with dominated. Now again, if Max and Ham were in the same team, either one will NOT dominate the other, which I'm willing to bet on. I therefore disagree with Piquet and anyone else in here who says Ham will dominate Max.

What year / team were Alonso and RAI (The Peoples Champion) teammates? I don't remember that?

Hammy gained 15 seconds going 'off piste' scrabbling to stay ahead of Max, he'll be more difficult to get past now than if were Lecrash or Alo in front.
With the tyre situation of what you're allowed if you get pole you have to give something up going into the race later on with these 'cutbacks'. It's up to RB to now plan it a little different and listening to Max more may have turned the tables on hammy later on. Remembering Silverstone 70 |

^ Didn't you read my friend's note?
Hammy exceeded T4 limits 29 times gaining 0.5 sec each of those laps which is 14.5 sec GAIN out of nothing. Read everything. |

It was being stated as only 0.2 secs a short while ago...and in reality it was probably no more than 0.1 sec. Masi on track limits: “With regard to tolerance given with people running outside of the track limits during the race, that was mentioned very clearly in the meeting and the notes that it would not be monitored with regard to setting the lap time, so to speak, but it will always be monitored in according with the Sporting Regulations that a lasting advantage overall must not be gained.” Sucks if a driver/team isn't smart enough to understand the pre race brief by Race control. |

I really don't like getting into these internet arguments but it's not just the tenth (or two or three) that he saves each lap going wide in turn 4, it also allows him to unwind the wheel earlier which reduces the load on the left front tire. That will increase the life of the tire and as a result he is "gaining an advantage ".
Race control, in my opinion, is at fault here. They should have intervened the second time Hammy went wide. I am far from a Hammy fan, but he excelled in this race. Last edited by andrewmr; 04-03-2021 at 12:28 PM.. |
