I would never, ever wish to cause offence with any of my comments Mark, but sometimes I just feel the need to point a couple of things out.
I hope I haven't offended the photographer on this occasion, if I have then I apologise . . unreservedly. Sometimes just a couple of simple things can make the difference between a good image, and an excellent image. Apart from the subject being an Audi of course Just a quick edit, and this would be my take - Hope no-one minds

The light was great this one day, so I managed to get this capture of the M6 and especially Singapore Grey, which I'm convinced is the absolute worst color (other than black) to photograph. However, then the lighting is perfect, it's really a phenomenal color, IMO, from dark greys to the blues.

Nice redo Alan.
For me, I welcome suggestions, but I'm a little reluctant to give too much in this particular thread. I think of this thread as a "Sharing" thread and don't want to intimidate noobies and potential contributors. If a contributor asks for comment, the I almost always comment.

Thanks for the criticism, that was actually a unedited photo. I didn't put any time into color correction. It was also my first attempt at "light painting." I used a mtn bike led head lamp to create the light effect. Where I live, it is kinda hard to find a 100% dark area with little light pollution. This just happened to be a grass field in the middle of nowhere. Site wasn't specifically sought after.
As far as posting an Audi on a BMW forum, well that is my current car. I've had numerous older bmw's prior. I'm picking up a f10 535 this weekend so I'm new to the forum, saw this thread and posted the image. Here is the current state of the car (iPhone photo): Quote:

Perfect shot of the pheasant, Ed. I've never seen a sharper eye. The light was just right.

Thanks Dave. That one is actually a pretty massive crop as I was a long way off. The minute I try to get close they hightail it into the bushes. You can actually see the shadow of his buddy in that shot who was already halfway there.

Longtime BMW owner myself, although now I just have a Benz. Was wishing I still had my Z4 Roadie today, though. 72F and sunny.

I just sold my X1, so I am currently "Bimmerless". I have an F150 on order and needed to make room in the driveway so it had to go along with my Tacoma. I will have one again I am sure, but right now, I am having a lot of fun with my big dirty Dodge
