If Juan Pablo Montoya and Grosjean's experiences are any judge (acknowledging Romain went to Indycar), Max could switch to NASCAR and be very successful. I doubt Larson make the switch to F1 without looking silly.

Comparing NASCAR to F1 is an oddity in itself.

After only 85 practice laps in his first day in an Indy car, on the second day (Fast Friday), Larson turned the second fastest one lap of the entire field....He then qualified on the second row (6th fadtest) for his1st Indy 500.
It took Grosjean two years before attempting to race at an oval and Montoya only got two wins in 9 seasons in NASCAR.

They're all very talented drivers, at least at the front end of the pack. All driving their respective vehicles at the brink of traction. Larson is more than just a Nascar driver though, he races multiple other things including sprint and Indy. He was reasonably successful for his very first stint in Indy, I hope to see more from him there.

I don't think Larson would win 19 races in just one F1 season ...

Given time and practice? Maybe, nobody knows, it's just guessing at this point. Max is a super talented F1 driver. Larson's had literally one race in an open wheel vehicle akin to an F1 car and did a pretty good job at it. Verstappen was in an F3 car back in 2013, nearly a decade before Max's most dominant year. Guess we'll see where Larson's desires are. He's just a lot of hot air right now, but that's the right mentality if he wants to get anywhere.

Enjoying reading all the talk (not here of course) of why the RBR's aren't winning anymore. The FIA's recently added one line ban "Any system or mechanism which can produce systematically or intentionally, asymmetric braking torques for a given axle is forbidden.” is what most are pointing to.

'biggest or strongest' doesn't mean the best sportsmen. Coordination and teamplay/strategic insight play a role too, sometimes a superior role. Look at your baseball example. Baseball players also arent necessarily the biggest and strongest. My guess is that the average pro soccerplayer is in better physical condition than the average pro baseball player.

I wasn't specifically talking about nascar. Lots of examples have been in indycar/IMSA.

Larson already looks silly comparing himself to Verstappen.
Truely great drivers don't have to boast in the press that they're better than some other driver in a totally different class.
I never heard Max say, or for that matter Hamilton, Schumacher, Senna etc, that they're better than some Nascar (or other racing class) driver.
They don't have to.

And regarding to that the "US don't care about F1"....That Larson NASCAR driver apparently cares....otherwise he wouldn't be comparing himself to them.
If he really is that good, he should jump into his Iracing rig and first try and beat Max in the virtual world (where Max doesn't race open wheel...). If he's succesful there...then he could take his chances on the real track.

I doubt a valve like that would work. The brake system is a pressure regulated system and not a flow regulated system. This valve doesn't give differential pressure, it gives differential flow.
Ideally you want the flow to be as low as possible in a braking system, as if a lot of flow would be required to actuate the brakes, it would limit the speed of braking. I think the brake system in an F1 car is made with really tigth tolerances, so that the amount of flow required is minimal and the speed of braking (relation between pedal and slavecylinder) is instant.
This valve would not change that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying soccer players aren't incredible athletes. Their physical conditioning and stamina are top notch!!! But I'll stick to my statement that bigger / stronger american athletes stick to the big 3 sports here.

As a side note, I know Arron Judge is an anomaly but most people don't realize how big the New York Yankee's star is. I met him once, dude is:

6 feet 7 inches (2.01 m) tall and weighs 282 pounds (128 kg)

Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley

A bit early and off topic but Las Vegas GP just got even more expensive for some

Gordon Ramsay set to get involved in Las Vegas GP:

- Gordon Ramsay, often seen on the grid before Formula 1 races, will be taking on a new role at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he will be working in his own "garage."
- Ramsay’s garage will be serving food throughout the weekend for those attending the Las Vegas Grand Prix, but the experience comes with a hefty price tag of $35,000.
- Ramsay, known for his shows like Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, will be personally present at the event, which runs from November 21-23. Guests will have the chance to enjoy Ramsay’s culinary creations while being close to the F1 action.
- The event features special guest chefs hosting live cooking stations, a pop-up of Ramsay’s famous London restaurant, Lucky Cat, and a night celebrating the best of the United Kingdom with “Cool Britannia.”
"I’m so thrilled to be bringing Ramsay’s Garage so close to the action of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Being a massive F1 fan, I’ve seen firsthand how intertwined food and the sport is. So, having been to so many races as a spectator, Ramsay’s Garage truly is a dream come true," Ramsay said.
- The $35,000 ticket grants fans VIP access, including a Paddock Pass, the opportunity to walk in the same venue as F1 drivers, pitlane walks, truck tours, and participation in podium celebrations.

In soccer, bigger is often a disadvantage. Most top soccerplayers aren't that big. They have to be agile and precise.
And they have to be good actors. Otherwise the Schwalbe isn't convincing
