I might have had the best and the worst "feeling older than dirt" moment 10 minutes ago:
I walked in on a conversation about me between two college interns at work who didn't know I walked into the room behind them. After the first one said she really likes working for me and was learning a lot, the other one said "He's really hot for an older man" and the first one came back with "Oh Daddy!". I don't know if I should fire them both or give them both raises. FML

We're probably better off ignoring it most times.

Gotta stop reading this thread at work... people are gonna start to wonder why I start off laughing, and then as it hits home the more I think about it, the laugh slowly morphs into weeping....

Mentally, I have always been a bit more mature that my age/peers and that was bitter sweet during my experiences during my teenage years. Then when I hit my twenties, I embraced my differences, and used them to be successful professionally and personally. Now that I'm in my mid thirties, things are starting to catch up to me. Most of my hobbies and interests, as well as my occupation require an individual to be strong, fast and tough. Just a few years ago, I was always ahead of the pack and set the high standards and lead by example with minimum effort. Now, I find myself keeping up with the pack, and having to put in a little work to do so. I see now that it's only a matter of time before I can't keep up with the younger guys coming in, and I will have to watch and support the future Soldiers and leaders from the sidelines.

This is what I'm sayin'. This guy looks like he beat up a 13 year old kid and stole his suit. This is fashion? This is supposed to look good? This suit lists for $5600!!! WFT?!?!
In 5 years we'll be looking back at this joke of a fad and be laughing our asses off. Hell, I'd have a hard time now keeping a straight face if some clown dressed like this walked into a meeting. I don't get it. This is the sartorial equivalent of 30" rims on a 750iL.
