Of course going to Bilsteins would be better, but stockers are fine. |

2011 Z06 C6 Carbon Edition.
One of the best performance to dollar road race cars you can get that's almost perfect right out of the box. Before you jump in with that ZR1 supercharger nonsense that makes the car unbalanced, we're not talking about highway killers here. Go make a turbo supra if you want to do that. |

I know its not on your list but im seeing a few F12 M6s for sale for under 60k which is a steal for that car right now and doesn't need and modifications to be cool like the GT-R or vette, and the interior of the F12 is just on another level.
It will still depreciate a bit though. If I had to go buy a car in the 60k price range right now It would be the F12 or an extremely used R8, not another gtr or a vette thats forsure. 911 or M5 are good choices too. 911 is just not for me |

You and several other guys here have convinced me to Give the C6Z a serious look. Although the C7 Z51 is tempting at $50k. What do you think of the C7? |

You're right, M6 not on the list but is kinda interchangeable with M5. I didn't know the R8 was so cheap now? |

Not a squeak on the Ultima GTR; you won't get more bang for your bucks.

I'm leaning toward the C7 Z51 as my top choice but concerned about early version reliability. My 2nd choice is a C6Z and the 911 Turbo.
I have test driven the 911 Turbo more recently but want to try the C6Z and C7 Z51 again. |

Hell, even a used Z/28 would be pretty amazing if you can find one for $60k. I said the 2011 because you almost can't beat the performance to dollar IMO. It might be a bit much for a daily, but the car is perfectly track ready as it sits. I didn't buy one because I can't afford to stuff $60k on track and walk away. |

My wife hated all Vettes until the C7. It's the first Vette that doesn't look "creeper" to her. |

You can probably get more performance for your money without paying for the Henessey name. The last car I saw with the 600hp badge didn't impress me. It was an older camaro and maybe the guy couldn't drive, but my evo ate it alive.
Sounds like you want a stingray? Just get what you want and don't look for people telling you what you want to hear to justify your purchase. |

I'm definitely leaning toward the Stingray and 997 Turbo. I just made some choices in the last few years that elicit buyers remorse: E60 M5 - I lament it but it was so unreliable E90 335i - it had the N54 but the automatic Steptronic was horrible F22 M235i - not fast enough after FBO |

F12 M6 would be my suggestion with standard tune to up to 700+ hp.
You can get some quality exhaust over time, and enjoy in luxury, excellent comfort and brutal speed. |

Since you did a Volvo before have you looked at a CPO Polestar? Drove a wagon a few weeks back at the suggestion of a friend. Not my cup of tea but was surprised and impressed.

going on a limb here so don't flame me but how about a CTS-V with some mods. Seems you could get a used one reasonably priced and they can make some serious power with decent interior options.
