I've never had a credit card company side with a vendor. I'd drop them if they did that. At worst they'd reverse the charge while investigating, they can always put it back on if they find it was a legal charge.

I did. Discover Card. Might as well spread the word.

So did this get resolved or what? I'm sure the OP wouldn't use OT just to flame a vendor and then never tell us the outcome.

Did I miss it by not reading enough of the thread?

Performance parts suppliers are frequently at the mercy of the manufacturer of the product, and ETA's provided are based on what the manufacturer says. From there, once a supplier takes your payment, they pay the manufacturer. So while you're over on this side angry with the supplier and wanting a refund, they're behind the scenes angry with the manufacturer and also wanting a refund.

4 weeks to ship something though? that is unacceptable.
Dude - seriously?? I may get the ban hammer for this but here goes anyway...

This is a place where you cannot post a picture of a really nice Sig P232 stainless you received as a gift from the wife for earning your MBA but in many, many instances see talk about shagging underage girls (and in some cases boys too) and worse.

Just goes to show you the morals of either the owners or mods.

It's about the owners' of this forum and the dollars they receive, not about ethics or things legal.

And I wonder where the OP is. Rather suspicious he/she would make such a complaint in the initial post and no follow-up.

Sorry for the late reply..

Soon as I posted this thread, a member on this forum from Vivid sent me a PM and asked for all the details, he forwarded the message to someone in charge of the place and the guy initiated a paypal refund the same day. 3 days later I had the money back in my account..

Long story short, or at least how I understood it, they were waiting for a refund from the manufacturer before they would issue me one and they were taking forever. Im not sure if Vivid doesn't trust the manufacturer and was worried that they wont get their money back or whatever the reason was, is not a good enough of a reason to treat customers like that.

All good now.

P.S My paypal account is linked to my Banks debit card, however, over the years I found that making a risky purchase with paypal online is the way to go, its easier to get your money back than dealing with a bank or CC company, and im talking about orders that have been received but defective, or company that disappeared by the time you received something, or a service that you paid for and weren't satisfied with, PayPal has been great for me for 11+ years now.

You should now change the title of this thread to "Vivid Racing refunded my money". Otherwise, it continues to look bad for them.
