Nothing wrong with MB. I had a C-Class before. It drove like a Toyota and had a sterile feel to it. I consider it comfortable luxury.

The OP's question was about Mercedes. My response to AMG would have been different. Regarding a normal Mercedes, I rented a new 2017 E-Class in Europe and had it for a month. I loved it. If I were going for a 5er sized sedan I would definitely consider the E-Class instead. A bit softer ride than I like but a really a nice car. |

When shopping for my 2 I got a kick out of seeing that there was this great disclaimer sheet up, but just in the MB dealerships. It was this info sheet on treasury laws for reporting cash transactions, and what types of other property like bearers conds etc. would also need to be reported. Made me think I should have brought a down payment in one of those aluminum briefcases (all 1's, to fill it out nicely).

I owned a Mercedes back when they had the 5 year 50,000 warranty. I was always at the dealership getting a loaner while they worked on my car. The good thing about it was I met a gorgeous woman whose S class seemed to breakdown the same time as mine. I would never consider buying a Mercedes, without a warranty like I had. If you did it would be a big mistake

Well, my mother drives a Mercedes E350. Has had the same one going on 17 years now. So when I see an E class, I assume an older woman is driving it.
My uncle drives an S class from a few years back. So when I see an S class, I assume an older man is driving it. Mercedes makes very nice cars, and I'll probably buy one later down the line. In comparison, when I see a 3 series (e90), I assume its used, and some younger early 20's guy is driving it and probably surfs e90post or frequents some stance website. I've kind of got an assumption for most cars on the road, and I'm usually 40-50% right, but its nothing I seriously believe or base a person on. Just like how I assume all Civic drivers are assholes... Which they are. |

The reliability of the Mercedes might depend on what state you buy it in I know California requires all this extra smog emissions crap on there cars that might contribute to why mine broke down so much, still because of my experience with my Mercedes and seeing how others were having problems as well I would not buy another one unless they re instated there 50,000 5 year warranty
