I've been using Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba paste for the past several years and I like it.

My 500 mile new M240... Wash/w 2 bucket IronX Wash again Clay (really nothing much there, but wth, lol) Small corrections/polish a few small scratches already there Stripper/Paint Prep Wolfgang Sealant (2X) Pinnacle Souveran Carauba Wax (1X) Wheels got cleaned, IronX, Clay, then CQuartz Dlux Good for the winter! Gives me time to decide, PPF or Ceramic Coat in the Spring. Couldn't even get the car cover onto the car, so slick, it kept sliding off, lol. Paint got a deep rich hue to it. Simply amazing! |

I think the Meguiars Hybred Ceramic stuff may work. I have a collection of antique Cornets. I have given them many coats of the stuff. I did the hoods on both of my cars. We;ll see. Might be a gimmick. |

I used Collinite a few months ago and its still on the car, but barely. It's lasted infinitely longer than any other product!
Meguiar's was always my go-to since their products are great, but theirs only lasts 3-4 wks.

Which Collinite did you use? I have 476 on the car for 4 month now and looks like I just waxed it

I applied it in July. The car looks/feels like it will need a new coat soon. But 4-5 months of life under the California sun is exceptional.

I've used a lot of carnauba, but it sure doesn't last. Melting point of carnauba is 180 F. An 85 degree day can easily get the paint to that temp and we have days 20'degrees hotter than that.
I have been using synthetics and sealants for the last couple of decades to get some actual longevity, topped with carnauba for a little pop for a few weeks. Plus, who doesn't like a dusty car? I'd suspect what many of you are seeing as longevity is really just your prep work holding up, not the actual wax. Try a synthetic, any will do. I'm partial to non sealants as I find the finish and optical depth of sealants to be a little artificial, but you sure can't beat them for durability. |

The best protection is to get both. I have PPF on all the front facing surfaces and ceramic coat over everything after PPF install. Then renew the coating every year.

I liked how 845 was no more difficult to apply than your average wax, yet lasts 4-5 times longer.

Waxing is dead. My washes with this Sonax spray and seal cuts down my wash time significantly with crazy water beading and shine. I will do every 6 months a coat of the Sonax net shield as a base layer.
