Serious? Walk in somewhere and see what they'll give you for your diamond and tell me it is more in inflation adjusted dollars for what it was purchased for. They're an investment per se, but the diamond doesn't appreciate, it's only the woman whose finger it is on that is the appreciating investment (hopefully).

Colors below H can look whiter with right fluorescence. But won't help anything above. Best bang for the buck is to get a good diamond is to get good cut, then get color below H (preferably below G), then get okay clarity. As long as there's no big carbon deposit in it, couple of twinning wisp is fine. If color is above G, it's better to have slight counter part fluorescence to offset yellowness.

They can like diamonds all they want, let them go buy them for themselves. At least buying my GF a nice used car gives her some bling AND an everyday useful purpose. I swear to God if my GF ever went and spent 3 mos. salary or had to go into debt to buy me a $5K tool box, I would lose it on her ass for making such a stupid financial decision. To each their own. Don't get so worked up over what other people want to do with their money. OP is just curious about Blue Nile, not how much you hate diamonds and think marriage is a scam.

I don't think it's a scam. I know it is. Take out the word "marriage", write up that contract, and tell someone to sign it. They'd think you were batshit crazy. |

Yeah, I like the warranty on my car and the reliability of a company that's been tuning BMW for decades as opposed to some cobbled together Smartphone app I can blow up the car with while I act like I am an expert ECU programmer. See you in the "Just flashed MHD and now 'insert something here' is mess up" threads.

To each their own; my OTS MHD E50 tune has treated me well for years (even though they may look like hieroglyphs to you, I have 100s of logs to prove it). Enjoy your tune and the peace of mind it gives you though; just try not to take every comment/reply in OT so seriously |
