Haven't driven a G37 yet (I have driven the G35). The G37 will absolutely be on my short-list when it's time to replace my 335.

How does a "tuned 335i" come into discussion? We're speaking stock for stock. Once you bring in TUNED, you're opening doors to a whole different discussion. If someone is fine with the 328i and doesn't need a faster car, then IT DOESN'T MATTER. Then you break it down into interior and reliability. |

I had the opportunity to buy an infiniti but I couldn't imagine myself in a Nissan. I figured I am getting to be 30 and needed something with class. Like it or not, that is an ignorant statement. |

I bought the car cause I like the way the coupe looks and BMW has already a good reputation. That is an identity crisis? So you are saying people should buy cars not for looks and credibilty?

And you sir are the judge of the smarts, huh? Only to you. I am that age and I feel I deserve something better than a Nissan.

BMW has obtain the name for luxury and performance so that is why I made my decision to get a BMW because a BMW anywhere else is a BMW.

I chose the 328i instead of the G37S, i would have been one of the first to have it in MTL, but didn't want to wait and im glad i didn't cuz the G37 is ugly. I would take the 335 over the G37 any day.

I am following the leader and so is Nissan. BMW builds one and Nissan shadows it by Trying to be better. Trying.

If the G37 was around at the time, then I could have settled for it if my intensions was for import performance only.

I think the OP knew there be some 328i bashing involved. I recall some of the OP's responses around the blogs. Bimmer owners "dis'n" other Bimmer owners. That is mature.

It's ok, if you gradually accept that YOU are one of those people who buy and judge cars based on the badge, ok. What is wrong with Nissan? We're talking about Infiniti, another division. Kind of like Lexus to Toyota...is there something wrong with Lexus? I want a Lamborghini, but I feel like I deserve something better than a Volkswagen...so I must get a Carrera GT. Oh, and to top this all off about Nissan...the I'd rather have the GT-R than any BMW in the market. And I'm sure most people would rather have a GT-R than most BMW's... But it's a NISSAN! |

Okay, so I mosey'ed on over to infiniti's website to check out what all this tempest in a teacup was all about.
That's not a bad looking coupe. A bit bubbly, but nice. Pretty nice interior too. Power numbers put it close to the 335 in acceleration. Braking, slalom, track performance are pretty close. What's not to like? EDIT: I should mention that one thing I don't like about the new Gs is the damn fartcan exhaust sound. Everytime I hear a new-G driver lay on the throttle I'm instantly reminded of a Civic with manhole-cover-sized muffler.
