I'm not sure what kind of pictures she sent you. It's insane. It's not just one house here and there. It is literally every house on the block, for blocks and blocks. I think they try to out do each other. They've been doing it for years. I remember driving by there with my friends 40 years ago.

I imagine it is chaos. Way back when, we'd cruise around the neighborhood checking out the lights every year. But it was a local thing. I grew up not far from there. Now with the internet, people come from all over.

Just rain here too, but they are talking 50 mph winds this afternoon. Temps expected to reach almost 60 today and plummet into the 20s tonight. It's not nice to fool Mother Nature...

Did you see they had tornadoes in Spartanburg? Hope the Mothership is OK.

We had a few Tornadoes touch down in Spartanburg. I was at work when we got the alarm and had to go to our "safe space" for about an hour.

Quite a bit of damage...so much so that they called off all school districts this morning from debris still all over the roads.

Crazy weather. Last Friday it was Snowing, than yesterday warm with Tornadoes, then this morning very cold wind blowing and temps 25° cooler than yesterday.

Thanks......I work about 15 minutes from the BMW plant. It was intense for a bit there. We still have flooding going on as there was a huge amount of rain!

I live up on the NC/SC border near Landrum/Tryon in "Horse Country".

I work in central NJ. The wind is insane. I'm looking out my window at trees bending in half and branches flying all over the place. Should be a fun ride home over the bridge. It amazes me how a 5000# + vehicle can be thrown around like an empty paper bag.

Got home and didn’t understand why my quiet neighborhood was jam packed with traffic. The wind blew down a big ass old tree on the major thoroughfare a few blocks away onto a house, tore down power lines and is blocking a busy street. I lucked out. I have power. Mother Nature sure has her panties in a wad.
