Seriously, I dont mean to be a asshole, but I 100% agree w/ ne one who states "Who cares we drive bimmers" because anyone driving this car who doesnt have a few extra bux at the end of the month, doesnt deserve to drive a 35, 40, 45, 50k car... its a major major CONTRIDICTION! and its pissing me off!!!!!!!

Stop the complaining, your helping the economy, thanks...

lol

Respectfully I disagree. It is not plenty considering gross sales. Economics 101.

I pulled up Exxon's balance sheet for the past three reporting years.

For 2003, net profit was 8.4%
For 2004, net profit was 8.7%
For 2005, net profit was 9.7%

So for 2005 that would be an increase of 1% over 2004. Was anyone complaining in early 2005 about the horrendous 8.7% profit that Exxon made in 2004? Umm...no.

Last year, Microsoft reported about a $12B net profit - 30% of gross revenue. Where's the outcry? In fact, out of Fortune 500 companies in 2004, Exxon ranked 127th for profit margin with percentages very similar to 2005. So there are 126 other companies to bitch at who dared to do better than a net profit of 8.7%.

FYI, Wal Mart reported net profits of less than 4% for 2005 (Wal Mart was discussed earlier in this thread).

wweoholic,

I don't think you are an asshole.... honest mate I don't.... but you forget this is an international forum and we are supposed to be your allies in Europe. I see your point totally. However get a reality check mate (US price $3 per gallon) not wanting to bang the drum but we pay $9 per gallon so come buy your big engined car over here, we dont regard an e90 as a luxury car it is seen more as a small exec car, In the UK the 3 series has outsold the ford mondeo for the last 3/4 years, Its very common in the UK even though it costs a fortune we still buy them or in my case order them as a company car.

Oh yes I drive diesel as well just to confuse you more
