Irrespective, I think cars at this price point are always slow movers unless they're super limited, like the CS. In the end, I could give a crap about how well they sell- the only sale I'm interested in is the one to me. =) |

BMW of South Atlanta has a black one sitting all the lot. All options except CCB’s.

Running a search on Edmunds.com in my area (Chicago and burbs), there are about 10 cars available with some of them sitting on the dealer lots for about a month now. So yeah, it doesn't look like they are flying off the shelves here.

I'm mean if Edmunds.com says they are available it must be true. That's really your data point? Dealers never pretend to have a car available on these sites to lure possible buyers in.

Of course anything is possible but.... Every one of these listings link up to the official dealer website that shows that the car is still available. I also run a couple of online VIN checks and they all show 1 sale for the car which would be from manufacturer to the dealer.

I'm not saying there may not be a few floating around but the notion of the market is saturated with cars on lots is not true. I just called Perillo today about a black one on their site. It was already sold. |

That’s not true. You don’t need to install an L2 charger at all. It’s range is so low that just plugging the charging cable it comes with into a 110 outlet will charge it over night easily. It’s the same as the XM and that’s all I did. And you don’t even need to ever charge it if you don’t want to, it’ll just function as a mild hybrid then. When I go on long trips with the XM, I’ll do a few days and 1,000+ miles without plugging it in.

Got her at MSRP, carried some negative equity from the Label so my numbers wouldn’t help those looking to lease. Plus this is my 7th car from this dealer so I tend to get some solid deals. If I wasn’t carrying negative equity in then it would be $2022 monthly @ 36 months and 10k miles per year, sign and drive no cash out.

My opinion on new G90
I have driven an f90 LCI comp with CCB’s for 4 years and have had the G90 now for 2 weeks. I haven’t done break in service yet but will give my .02. 1. Engine: I am convinced the s68 is not a detuned version of the f90. In engine only mode this engine does a great job of moving 5000 lbs off the line. From 50 MPH to top speed in AMY gear this car is a missile. The instant quiet torque from the electric motors get you past 100mph before you realize it. This is something to be experienced. I loved the f90 but doesn’t compare to the G90. 2. Hybrid experience-Since electric motor is in the transmission the shifts trick you into forgetting the transitions from engine to electric. It is almost seamless in function. Great job 3. Sound. BMW did an amazing job in making synthesized in cabin noises seem real. If I didn’t know they were pumped in I wouldn’t know. Fantastic job. F90 was too isolated. Outside there are some pops and bangs but f90 sounded better on outside. Equal 4. I love the bulldog bulging fender look of the M5. I personally hated blending in with other 5 ers with the f90. This one gets attention from more than those who just know. G90 win 5. Interior: Less luxurious, sound system isn’t as good as the B+W in the f90, too many plastic pieces, less leather surfaces and I miss the soft close doors. There is a lot more theater in the g90 but I miss my physical buttons like my radio presets. I hate clinking into I drive or steering wheel button to get my station. Seats in g90 are just as good but again some adjustments like side bolsters and thigh extensions have to be done on the I drive. F90 wins here to me 6. Handling- f90 definitely more agile and changes direction with more precision. G90 is great but physics must be obeyed. Sharp turns and the front end does push. right foot can correct it but f90 was more neutral. G90 ride however is much more comfortable and compliant over bad roads.. Equal 7. Size/seating position- I didn’t have any problem going from f90 to g90. If I was going from m3/m4 to g90, definitely some getting use to. I didn’t have a problem with seating position or height. Equal. 8. Brakes- I ended up getting steels because I was worried about the weight but my dealer spec’d the car so it was take it or leave it. Other than the brake dust, I have been impressed with them so far. I have not felt any lack of stopping power so far. From 110 to zero a few times and no fade. Not sue I would do whole weekend at the track. They do squeak some but so did my ccb’s. Overall- Since this is my daily driver, I love the g90. I have to master I drive 8.5 but the car, in person, is gorgeous, drives smaller than actual weight and is amazingly comfortable to drive. Can’t comment on mileage yet. However, anyone who considers this car needs a radar detector and/or activating the speed warning because triple digits will be a frequent event on overtaking. |
