These don’t even look like BMW’s anymore and that’s an indictment considering I have a 7 series….it’s unfortunate they are going this route.

I’d like to see the reactions if all they did was change the headlights to be circular in some way. I think people got very accustomed to that from BMW and when they dropped them on pretty much every model, it removed a signature of sorts. Less so with the SUV lineup but with the sedans and coupes. The main reason I prefer the pre LCI G30/F90 is the headlights. That’s why I’ve had three and none newer than a 2020.

I am glad that I just got G20 M340, at least it has symmetric shape and looks good from all angles. Not sure why BMW still employs bunch of miserable so called designers. All these bad designs started with Bangle and continue with exception of few nice looking shapes in the last 20 years. Why Porsche can do it and even Mercedes, but BMWs, great technologically always struggle with design in the past 20 years?

I was referring to 2 series (still don’t believe someone signed off on this one), M3, 4 series, new 5, 7, iX, XM, new X3,… Even X5/X6 LCI is a step backwards. They’re some intern designed non-cohesive cartoon garbage that has nothing to do with BMW heritage. But I still consider them because of b58/zf8. EV however? Not so much. If this render ends up being anything like reality, my comment is “It’s not great, but could have been much much worse.” |

The G8X was bad and still is, but this is just sad.
The front page is going to be filled with this Kia looking monstrosity. And more EV garbage. What an interesting problem to have, having the money to custom order the car you want but they made them extra fugly now so you don't want it lmao.

Looks like an Accord.
Any way you slice it, the new “woke” BMW ID team has ruined any shred of brand identity with these new designs. Sadly it seems the high ups who have the power to reject designs don’t have the balls to say no. |

Lots of folks freaking out about a render...
It looks pretty good and unique to me with some throwbacks to classic BMW design cues. The 4 series has grown on me a bit, but it's definitely striking and not just 'normal traffic'. This already looks better to me. |

The bottom was F30. Since then, everything is getting better.

So is the feature line or crease that traditionally runs the length of the body, between headlights and tail lights, through the door handles now dropped for good? This along with the Hofmeister kink is what distinguished BMWs from being so generic. Porsche could be criticized for having no creativity in their designs, every model is a stretched variation of the 911. But you always know it’s a Porsche.
