On the plus side, I sat in the new 750s and they're extremely sleek! If your doors do not close all the way the first time, the new mechanism closes your door fully -- similar to those pesky minivans
i don't even know where to begin with you. your logic is highly flawed. i'll just probably leave it there.

It's got Porsche Turbo S performance for 90k STOCK. It smokes practically anything in a straight line.

Now modify it properly and you get this:

Or leave it stock and just do this:

i hate to answer a question with a drag race video, but:

I cannot believe I wrote that, what I meant to say was What are the maintenance costs other than brakes and tires.

Or in other words if I go Buy one and leave it stock what would be an out of the ordinary expense other than brakes and tires?

Is it a problem reliability wise just to have a Cobb AP tune on this car along with aftermarket exhaust? That will get you in the 10's in the 1/4 and should do so with decent reliability and ease.

well i just bought a set of tires for $2100, there are tons of brake pad options running from a couple hundred for shitty pads to near a grand for race pads, rotors are expensive no matter what, i use eneos synthetic oil 0w50 @ $70 a case, etc. etc. my car only has 10k miles on it if you drive even slightly hard like i do. expect about the same tire and brake life. then you have periodic maintenance items like filters, other fluids, etc. depending on how meticulous you want to be, stuff like tranny fluid and diff fluid is recommended to be changed fairly regularly just to keep things clean, especially if you plan to track the car.

that's perfectly okay on the car. you'll lose your warranty, but you shouldn't have any problems with the car. there hasn't really been much in the way of failures due to light mods like that. i run high HP though. more ponies, more problems. my car is also 'special' in the circumstances that have caused so many of my failures.

*sigh. To each his own, I suppose. Regardless of the situation, I can't justify spending that much money on the 7series and its doors nor the quick GT-R. So to Blake, I don't believe that my logic is flawed nor do I think yours is -- we just have contrasting ideas about the same topic. But then again, this is coming from a college student who can only dream of such luxuries

Kwando: simply put, I think that for a car that sparks heated debates between car enthusiasts I wouldve expected more to the car than what I saw in the show room that day. It's a great car but its just not what I expected. As for the doors of the 7series, I simply thought it was a good use of past technology.

so if you don't agree with the 7er either, what are you comparing the GTR to? and what is the price/performance of that car? name something so we know what you're setting the bar as.

I was never comparing the GTR to anything. The 7 was just a sidenote comment. I was just saying that although we can all agree that the GTR is a fast machine, I just can't imagine spending that much money on both the GTR and the 7series. Maybe in the future (after school), my ideals will change but for now, both cars are out of my grasp.
