Love the Cayman, it is what the 911 needs to evolve to. Imagine if Porsche didn't neuter the Cayman?? Back to the program.... definitely M6.... I track my M6 semi-regularly. I cannot imagine navigating a race track in the CL63 whale.

My brother has the 63 AMG and that this is retarded nice, 7 speed, 6 piston brakes with cross drilled rotors,19" rims, 14" plus rotors, 4quad tips and the list goes on and on.
I haven't ride on a M6 but I am sure you can't go wrong with either, definately ride boths, that is a lot of money to spend. |

Honestly, the M6 is more of a track car than the CL63 but the CL is more of a show car.
Just depends on what you're going for. I think the M6 is a better built car overall. Last edited by Los Angeles; 11-24-2007 at 03:23 AM.. |

yeah, CL is a show car because of its design... But don't you think that CL is more powerful than M6

I am completely SICK of people saying a Mercedes is a highway car and not a drivers car just because it's a Mercedes.
Have YOU personally driven any of the new 6.3 AMG models?? If you have NOT, then do not say that it's a highway car and not a driver's car. Just because the CL63 isn't a "track" car doesn't make it less desirable. In fact, if the only argument for the M6 is because it's more of a track car, then those buyers are WAY better off spending their money elsewhere. |

And just because you watch Top Gear, that makes you qualified to determine that the M6 is a better buy than the CL63? What does the M6 being a better track car have ANYTHING to do with it being the better buy?
If you are going to spend close to 100k on a track car, the M6 wouldn't be even close to the top of the list. A tv show, magazines, etc. have biases and a mindset that goes into determining how they rank their cars. Most M6 and CL63 buyers aren't buying their cars to track them nor race them as Top Gear would have you believe. I am a BMW fan, and love their cars. But I don't understand, when it comes down to it, why anyone would take the M6 over the CL63 if money wasn't an option. The track car argument is lame. Get a GT3RS instead. |

And as far as a track car i would for sure get a 997gt3rs. MY friend just bought a white one with black lettering and it amazing. And as far a Top Gear, I personally think its the best car show out there. It has to be the least bias show out there. Also they dont just race cars, they take them out on the road to see what it would be like to have as a daily driver. |

Which do you do more, "everyday driving," or "driving on the track?"
According to that article, the CLS63 is the everyday driver, while the M5 is the "track car." Again, if you're going to buy a TRACK car, then you can do much better than the M5 or M6. Many cars come to mind including GT3, Exige S, etc. Again, I love BMWs and would take an M5 or an M6 anyday, but I am sick of BMW fanboys completely disregarding the 6.3s because they are Mercedes and not giving them credit where credit is due. Realistically, for everyday road driving, I would take an E63, CLS 63, or CL63 above an M5 or an M6. If I wanted a more track-ready sports car, I would get a 997. But wait, I already have an E63 and a 997 Turbo sitting in my garage. |

If I was looking for a fast couch on wheels, I would get an AMG. No Joke.
