Like most here, I'm a watch afficionado as well. This is my collection, built up over about 8 years:
1. Rolex Green Glass Milgauss, SS 2. Rolex Submariner, SS, Green Bezel edition 3. Rolex Daytona White Face, SS 4. G-Shock Frogman 5. Omega Speedmaster "Moon Watch", SS 6. TAG Formula 1, rubber strap, black face 7. Fake Rolex Submariner, SS 8. Fake Rolex Daytona, "1992 Daytona" series, SS The fakes I sometimes wear for a few days and they keep very good time, surprisingly. Otherwise, I mix them all up according to my mood. |

Like many here, I like to collect watches. Mostly they have to have a meaning for me since I can't afford to buy every watch I want, so I favor watches with a history in transportation. My favorite is an Ernst Benz (aviation) then, a Ball world timer (railroad), Hamilton Navy Khaki (Sea), and my first luxury watch, a Baum-Mercier. My daily wearer is a Citizen.

I've been rocking Citizen watches since I picked my first one up in 7th grade. For the price, they can't be beat. I have always liked the Blue Angel Skyhawk models, got one in high school, another in college, and I'm pretty sure there's a new one out, but the one I have now is fine so I haven't worried about it. With the next purchase I'll prob. step the game up. Perhaps a blue faced Rolex so I can sling that line from The Hot Boyz 1999 Jam, "I Need a Hot Girl".

Anyone buy expensive timepieces on ebay? I found a great deal on a Hamilton that I want to buy but I'm a little weary of buying from a non-authorized dealer because of the lack of warranty.
Here's the link, the seller looks to be legit so that doesn't worry me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT Thoughts? |
