So why has he achieved so little in F1?

All the skilled drivers in F1 history did more with a lesser car in the start of their career. Max hasn't, why does he need to have the fastest car and still lose races?

He has a lot to prove. I'm waiting to see it. Never said he can't......he just has squandered most of his opportunities so far.

I think it's you that said or I read somewhere that Jos made Max find his own way home once or twice when he under performed making him work harder to achieve those driving goals.

If MAX pulled a bad race . He had to walk at home , and through the rain as well .
It was regarding heated discussions after the race in the car , Jos pulled over and kicked MAX A$$ out of the car !
Once he walked for 6 + hours . And it happened more than once !
That was the hard school !!!

Not bad for a 10 year old !

That's why MAX's ID (passport) and driver license are Belgian !

In the beginning Jos didn't had deep pockets my friend ! His (ex) wife Sofie-Kumpen (MAX mom) had the cash and sponsors on her side and her dad wasn't poor .
Kumpen is a Belgian race family !
