The left-over grilled meat from last night went into a pan with potatoes, magic spices, and maybe some tomato. Next thing I know I'm putting cheese on a beautiful plate of carne con papas, with fresh rice and beans on the side.

Both came from a supermarket that's a couple of minutes away from home; the cheese is a mozzarella bearing the market's label.

The tomato was an heirloom tomato grown in Mexico. These started showing up earlier this year, and I've found them in another market as well. There's a variety of them, all quite flavorful and in different colors.
