Oh? Do tell (pm if you prefer). Very interesting - and watches are very interesting in and of themselves.
Look up the world's second largest luxury group...

I love their stuff... two of their brands are literally my favorites! It would indeed be nice to get a discount. Almost every watch on my wish list comes from them. What a cool coincidence.

No jtodd_fl Biorin will not help you get the "employee" discount.

No jtodd_fl you may not have a watch despite your wish list and the absurdly cool coincidence.

That being said - Biorin, can you get me the employee discount pretty please?

(I don't even wear watches - have never understood the fascination with the super expensive timepieces).

All I know is that I get complimented on the Movado and never when I wear the super classy Casio. So lame, the Casio is dopeboy.

The Mov isn't even that nice in comparison to what people on here are wearing, and it's the only watch I have other than a broken fake Rolex.

I was just cleaning out a drawer with some quartzes from the 90s. Have a few Movados from then. I really liked them, as you can tell. A Raymond Weil. I have a Tag SEL also, but the wife still wears that one (and a newer Movado). And my daughter has an ESQ (Movados budget line). Nothing wrong with a Movado). Man, I loved that Rado (ceramic) for a hot minute too....

Hmmm - maybe my Boss? watch (dunno, maybe that's not right) just doesn't cut it. I only wear it occasionally, but it was given to me by my wife on the night before our wedding as a gift, so it's sentimental more than anything.

Did she give you the watch and say, "Tomorrow... you do me like a BOSS!"

(Sorry, was kind of too easy.)

I picked a girl from a Canadian show just for you.

I like mine a lot, think it's a Luno? Just don't wear it but a couple times a year. Recommendation on something with a leather band? I think that might be more practical.

What does it say about me that I have two Fossil watches that both have one feature or another that is broken?

I also have an automatic skeleton Kenneth Cole with a silicone band. Get at me, jtodd_fl .

I joke, but my fossil with a leather band held up great. Wore it daily for over 2 years, people seemed to think it was cool.

You thinking something quartz - like in the sub-$1,000 range - or looking to go mechanical? Dressy? If thinking something like that - Movado has lots of cool stuff - there are some snazzy looking ones in the Red Label line. There is the Heritage Series. They have a whole range of stuff - even some mechanicals that are very reasonable. I have always liked their design aesthetic. A Movado, I would by for looks, and not worry about "content".

All it says is that you value something different, when it comes to watches. That's all. I totally get that. I am a watch snob, sort of... but not really.

But don't forget about the tiny penis part. Possibly unrelated, but based on a sample size of two (if I take Biorin 's word for it), penis size seems to be directly correlated with watch price.

Tungsten Carbide FTW

Ha, thanks. Pay no attention to that 335 behind the curtain.

Sample size of two is an R-squared of 1. Congrats on your hog.

Ha your watch goes, "TiC".

Edit: Leaving this because I'm a moron. I was thinking of telling people the Silicon Carbide trinket I keep on my desk is "SiC".

Very cool. A Movado Fiero is way better than a Pontiac Fiero. Heh. Would love to see a picture - the Fiero line is pretty diverse.

Another thing I learned cleaning out that drawer. My wife may or may not have a problem. This is one of two drawers that were filled like this.

As easy as that would have been, no, but that's awesome. I'm somehow going to use that somewhere down the road for the laughs.

Look up Luke 6:41-42 and then get back to us with your conclusion on whether she has a "problem"

Edit: Rats, picture finally loaded - I thought it would be of watches...

I had a Fossil back in HS that I liked but someone pushed me in the pool and it got destroyed. Actually haven't been to Fossil in a long time, might check them out for a daily and get a nice leather band for going out to the bars and stuff.

Definitely sub $1k. I would like a nice daily watch, but nothing too crazy because I do a lot of activities during the day that could scratch it up pretty good. Nothing too flashy, but can be worn on a night out or just going to the grocery store.

Simple and classy.

The watch is HEAVY though.

I've owned it for almost 10 years. Not a single scratch
