Can you take a pic of this from further back? I can't quite envision the scale of this thing. Looks like a killer setup, though.

It ended up being like bacon tacos. Plus the wife had a skillet of adobado that she added pineapple

Some old mixed with some newer pics.

The big table is in the side yard, picture taken from in front of the pavilion, the night time pic is the same party, that is an ice martini/shot luge in the corner.

So, I can report that milling (a percentage) of your grain fresh does make a difference in the flavor and texture of the final product. SO GOOD

the 'Roman' style crust came out as expected, very thing, good flavor (10% fresh milled whole grain) but thinner then I like, not enough structure to pick up and eat, but a nice crunch, maybe I didn't let it cool enough. I'll find a good use for this dough.

I also went a bit off the rails, and made a pesto (basil, pistachio, garlic, parm, olive oil) sauce, topped it with caramelized onion, a little mozzarella, some brie, some chopped dates, and finished it with prosciutto and parm. Reviews were very good.

Thanks for the pics. Nice setup. I don't even know enough people to fill that table.

Let me rephrase. I don't know enough people (that I'd want to invite over and wait on) to fill that table. It's like those prizes where you and 50 of your closest friends get to go somewhere and party. I don't have 50 friends. Not even close.

Besides, the top ten folks in this thread would be horrified at my total lack of culinary skill. I've failed at grilling hotdogs and hamburgers.

We had a good mix of people, our neighborhood is super social, so we had a bunch of those people, then a couple of old friend of mine that I had not seen in a long time, and some new friends too.

Plus, everyone is married, so really you invite 20 and get 40 (not that I have any problem with that, because the wives are all friends too).

The neighborhood across the way from ours is like that. All McMansions and very sociable folks. They have outside movie watching parties in the summer and several of the houses have huge patio/BBQ setups with pizza ovens and the whole works. Lots of younger families with kids, etc.

Aside from the McMansions, our neighborhood is the oldest in our town (early 1960's) most of the houses are small with stupid floor plans, many of us have done additions, that us.

I made 9 pizzas for a 'driveway' party last friday, we have an annual rib cook off, a progressive holiday dinner, an outdoor movie, etc.

Can't get away with that one. We have at least 5 Mexican restaurants in this town and another 5 in the next town over.

I still remember the first turkey I smoked. Coincidentally, so does my wife. We just vary on our opinions of whether it was phenomenal, or not.
