Nice one Shane. It shows the bird, which is nice and sharp, very much in context.

Shane, nice first shot. There's lots and lots to learn. Get out and shoot lots of shots. Pixels are close to free, once you've invested in the camera, so take advantage of that.

Mount Evans, of the Rocky Mountains, as seen from Cherry Creek Reservoir (that brown structure at the bottom of the image is the dam).

It was fun to find, because we use the technique so commonly as snipers. You know you're obscured when you're looking through magnification at an object and even though the object is clear, there is quite a bit that is not in focus in the foreground before said object. To us, it's called a loophole, I'm not sure if it has a name in the photography community, but if I have the opportunity to shoot them I'll definitely find them.

I could not agree more. I've taken thousands of shots with the new camera and especially with the new 100-400 Mk2, it amazes me every time how well things come out and sometimes I feel like I'm cheating. But I'm stopping to look at the smaller things out and around the house and wherever I go instead of looking at facebook every day and I couldn't appreciate anything more than a device that draws me back to the beauty of the natural world instead of a computer screen.

I'm very thankful for your help as well, I'd be leagues behind even in cropping if it weren't for you in-so-far

I saw a couple of deer shots, figured I should join the fun (David cheated already).

One of the benefits of staying home and playing around with still life on a rainy Sunday, is that you get to eat and drink the props

So we've moved from Bucks to Coyotes? I don't have any ammunition to play that game. How about froggers?

Thanks DC, found him at the very end of the trip! Remember the shot way back with the doe in front of the fence? The 100-400 helped me burn right through that. So happy with that sucker.

Gary, very interesting shot! I've been trying to sucker tinder dates into photo shoots. Maybe it'll pan out one of these days. Although I'll never have a "snowy" opportunity in Texas.

It's still kind of cold down here though

One more from the weekend. I realize that straight whiskey is not to everyone's taste, so in the interest of diversity, I made some Irish coffee as well The Fuji "kit" lens continues to impress me.
