Entertaining tonight. Hopefully I can finally unload this McCallum 12 year. I never really enjoyed the taste. I'll be enjoying the Blackbush. With my sphere ice cubes.

My wife and I had dinner at the Del Frisco's in uptown Dallas night before last. $14 for a Jameson, $24 for a Red Breast 12 year.

We eat there often. The Shops in general is where we hang out. A good friend of mine is opening a restaurant in The Shops West under construction now.
But yeah... Drink prices there are a tad ridiculous.

Got some of this...not my style unfortunately... Now I am trying to find something to mix it with so I don't waste it!

Eagle Rare bourbon. Pretty good, especially considering it's just $30 a bottle. Not bad over ice.

Still addicted to Angels Envy. Both the rye and bourbon are delicious.

I will try the Four Roses next.

Yup, that's why it's only once a year. This was 2 years ago. Polished it off pretty well.

I got the text just before we left for the cabin that my delivery from b-21.com had finally arrived at FedEx.
I bottle of Tim Smith's Climax Moonshine
1 bottle of Tim Smith's Climax Whiskey

I took the moonshine with me. The first sip was pretty harsh, but I knew it must just be the mountain air, or altitude, so I kept sipping. It grew on me and I ended up drinking about 1/3 of the bottle over 4 days up there. Didn't need to brush my teeth or even take a shower. . . and ALMOST bought some overalls

Yes, based on my limited sampling of raw whiskys, whoever came up with the idea of aging in barrel should be nominated for sainthood.

I STILL haven't seen what the rocket scientists are going to do with drill shavings and red oak samples to convert the white to whiskey

10 was last years NYE debauchery. 90 at 7000 when used to sea level is dangerous, especially when you father smelt of elderberries!!!

The remnants of that bottle are still in the freezer at the cabin this year . . . kinda like that snake you killed and thought you might one day eat
