My gf got me this one for my bday last month. It's an upgrade from my 8 year old Kenneth cole watch.

i've been rocking the same Seiko kinetic since 1997 and it's been great, however, i'm looking at a Tag Calibre 36 RS and i'm really starting to pine for one.

here's the thing: i've got the cash but i think my wife would fucking kill me if i bought one. how do i convince her it's a great idea?

if she likes and owns a few LV or other expensive bags, there's your justification right there if she tries to get on your case. If she's not into the expensive stuff, create your own checking account that's not joined with your wife and start putting some money into that account. Once you have enough, buy the watch and tell her you got it from one of those kiosks at the mall that sells cheap watches

Raymond Weil Parsifal or a Rado. Although i find the ceramic Rado's just break so easily that it makes it unpractical to wear daily

I'm surprised no-one's thrown this in yet. I kinda want one. Look at that high-rev dial, and the massive amount of rubber. It must handle like a dream. Would probably stick to your wrist like a handcuff

I'm kind of a watch nerd and have a small collection that consists of the following:

Panerai 233K

IWC Big Pilot 5004

IWC Aquatimer 3548

Jaeger-LeCoultre Navy SEALs Alarm

I also have this Rolex GMT2c in the safe, but I have it sold and will be shipping it off to a new home once the funds arrive.

Shocking....as often as you change cars, I'm surprised your watch collection isn't twice this size.

Point taken. I keep telling my wife we need to take in another 10 foster kids so my government check can cover a Patek or Lange & Sohne.

I saw you were in Vegas last week. I wish I had know as I was out there as well for SHOT show. Guns are another hobby of mine. I would have been honored to buy you a beer and talk cars.

just received the new Alpina and i love it. even though it's a 46mm case it still looks reasonable on my skinny wrist. the presentation was very nice and i'm impressed with the fit, finish, and ruggedness of it.

it's not a design for everyone's tastes but i'm young, i dress casually at work, and it really fits my style.

just got this new piece today ^^^^^^

it's got Alpina's caliber 850 chrono movement which is basically just a modified 2894-2. here's a pic of the exhibition case with their stealthy black PVD rotor.

It looks very good. I think you pull off the 46mm size well. I don't know a lot about Alpina, but it looks to be a well built time piece. Congrats!

Cool. I wanted one with Tweety Bird to give to my niece but never found one.

I know this isn't a crazy watch, and it may not suite many people's tastes, but I am young, and love this watch. Its my first automatic, and its a beautiful everyday, and nightlife watch. What do you guys think?

I stick with Kenith Cole and Nixon for the price. If I were to buy an expensive watch this is what I would get. This is the Concord C1 Quantum Gravity
