Those people, who complaint about the weight of M5, never understand how nimble the 2.7 tones XM is.
You’ll never take M5 to race track. Does the weight really matters. I believe most new M5 owners have at least another M car for performance driving. Like me, I got XM, M4 and GR Supra. XM just for daily and Supra for track mostly. |

Looks great but it’s way to heavy. Not interested in a 5500 pound sedan. I’ll buy an x6m at that rate. This is the same reason to why the S63 AMG coupe never sold, to fucking heavy.

The side profile is just so disproportionate. I like the front, really dislike everything else.
But, just think of the instagram cred you'll get with this kit! :-D

Saw this car IRL today in Munich. Not pretty, the matte grey M5 without M/P parts that was standing next to it was so much sleeker.
The M/P parts at the rear are hideous, i.e. the side skirts and the "diffusor" that protrudes so much that it looks to be an ultra-posh bump-protector rather than a diffusor. The splitter was fine, but that's about it. Shame that M Performance parts seem to be almost all show and no go on the G-platform. |

Even with the XM they fcked up. Ferrari sells a NA V12 SUV ! With such a low production volume they could have made something similar, specially if that thing was to follow the M1 as a M only vehicle... I don't think anyone would have been shocked either if they made an S58 M5 with hella HP but similar weight to the F90. They could have went like porsche with the 911 T hybrid as well, making an hybrid system in the like of the P1 and laferrari, where they game the rating just enough again to pass the green regulations, but in the real world is only there to deliver performance. But, as we have seen with Tavarish P1, all those hybrid systems have expirations dates. BMW is just wasted potential these days... both in styling and powertrains.
