Tent Car
BMW is not the first.
Concept is not new. First protos were about 20 years ago by another that I can not mention. This could be a BMW Aztek... Shape of... a Tent. Love to see the next X5 transform into a Camping RV with a built in camp fire. Great publicity stunt by BMW, though. That's why I love BMW. |

Looks like 320what beat me to it.
Everybody complaining that it looks like a Z4 or they don't like the lines or whatever are completely missing the point. It doesn't matter whether they chose a Z4 or a 7 series or any other BMW to base this concept on, it is about the skin of the car, not the body style. |

wow this page is full of idiots.
Say hello to your cars vaGINA boys, it's 10 years old and they developed the current cars off of it, hence why its going to the museum and the philosophy is staying with the company. Dont look stupid Quote:

Everyone keeps talking about the angry girlfriend or psycho that will take a blade to this car...
How many times have you heard of someone taking a hammer to someone's car these days? It happens but almost never, and it'll be just as likely with a blade to a cloth car. Not to mention the cloth will surely be strong enough to withstand a knife. On another note, I just realized... with a cloth car, NO SCRATCHES!!! That makes me happy/hopeful

Also, I do love the flexibility and the fact your car will have no scratches. But I'm not sure if the loss of a metal body will lose the character of cars. Since cars were invented we have only known them to be made of metal. It's totally redefines what the original invention was all about. It's like making a mobile phone out of cloth when we are used to plastic and other materials. Its a strange concept.
