What is wrong with Nissan? We're talking about Infiniti, another division. Kind of like Lexus to Toyota...is there something wrong with Lexus?

I want a Lamborghini, but I feel like I deserve something better than a Volkswagen...so I must get a Carrera GT.

Oh, and to top this all off about Nissan...the I'd rather have the GT-R than any BMW in the market.

sir I would gladly take //M6 over gt-r any day and YES I know the gt-r beat porsche turbo on the track and will probably run laps around the m6 but still...speed isnt everything to me

But it's a NISSAN!

I would honestly rather have an M3 rather than a GT-R. Sure it's slower, but I assume the M3 will be a little softer on the streets. And I've always wanted an M3, regardless the generation. Finally, I don't like the looks of the GT-R. I wish they evolved a design from the R34.

That said, the GT-R would kill an M3 in almost any race. And you'll probably turn more heads on the street because there is nothing out there that looks like it. And if you want to tune (assuming Nissan is going to allow you to do so), the turbos will make easy power.

As for class (not directed to you)... you must not have that much to begin with if you look at Infiniti as "just a Nissan." Just because the G37 is cheaper than a 335i doesn't mean everybody can afford to have one.

The name change was an attempt to collect a new image for their luxury line. Funny I did have a VW and was going to go for the next GTI and I didn't like "big mouth look". At the same my sis recently bought her a 323i and that was what helped made my decision. My friends own lots of Japanese. I was never the follower so I decided to be different. I don't follow people just like I didn't fall for it in highschool. GT-R damn thing looks like a cat fish.

Yeah BMW has a reputation and Nissan changed their name in order to get to that title too. I don't do the wanna-be thing.

Sure they do since BMW already made the 335i. BMW makes them first and Nissan and other Japanese cars try to out do them and they did. That gives us buyers who enjoy bimmers see what BMW has in store. The cycle goes on and on. So your debate is a temporary achievment.

Isn't driving a BMW being a wanna be if you don't wanna be seen in any other car?

335i wasn't even in competition or vision of Nissan when they were building the GT-R.

The Porsche Turbo was...and I'm assuming Porsche is behind BMW too right?

Nope, Porsche like BMW has status. Nissan just wants to be there too. I am stating the fellow of saying how GT-R will rub the BMW label for performance. Read the thread bud.

sure doesn't go with country music. You ever hear them play it on any of the Grand Turismo games? Not to say that I do play console games.

Some of the cars I've grown up around and some owned.

Hoping to own an E9 3.0 CSL one day once I'm settled down n' such.

I love my NA bimmers...figured it'd be nice to enjoy the Non-M I6 motor at it's peak, especially since BMW got the Double VANOS to work well on a non-M vehicle.

In defense of the GTR pictures do it NOOOOO justice, I saw one at the Rolex Monterey Historic Event and it looks incredible. The Japanese build some incredible vehicles and the G37 is quickly becoming a quick refined machine of it's own, though it may not appeal much to me. The GTR doesn't seem to be the end of it, a new NSX is rumored to be on the way.
