Mixing old with new...the internals are clearly inspired by the Vision M Next tail lamps

In my opinion, the E90 was taller, narrower, with less angles; as a whole, this one still resembles more with the Mercedes.
The lack of originality from BMW's part is appalling.
In the past the taillights were following a certain pattern that was identifiable as an original BMW language.
Today they are everywhere and nowhere.

Front bumper looks like 1 Series Sedan and X2. Probably a facelift or an all new model?

My guess would be next gen 2 series coupe.
With CLAR platform rear wheel drive.
This pic looks like it's a M240i coupe.

It's a 4 door not a coupe.

For market such as China where apparently want more space and a lower entry price to get to the brand. This car would never sell in Europe or the US, it's too basic and lots of other brands offer better VFM products in that category. It's just a way to get the badge in developing markets.

Well the bonnet looks pretty long and low which shows me its probably rwd, which could only mean the new 2 coupe.

Bit of a shame that rwd bmws are losing their identity to fwd ones. They're all starting to look the same .

it's the F52 replacement in my opinion.

Nevertheless...it shows an awful chinese design. Totally suprised and worried about where the BMW design is going to.

Someone said elsewhere pics were taken in a lift at the FIZ and "EK" on the vehicle mover is short for "Entwicklung Karosserie" (Body Development). Related speculation = early 2er prototype + not final design.

How about this for a real shock: there is also both a 3 Series sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe as well as both a 7 Series sedan and 8 Series Gran Coupe. True story.
